I know 2 houses in Abridge which used to belong to Harry Redknapp and Jermain Defoe. Don't know if they still live there now though, would be a bit of a journey to the training ground.

Damn right, I tried the Abridge to Toronto commute once and it was absolute hell!

There's patches of them around the Essex/Herts/London border though, couple do live in Chingford, as famously does Teddy, few around Buckhurst Hill & Loughton, but heading out along the M11, Sawbridgeworth is the epicentre as that was where Lord & Lady Beckham used to live, so a few sort of congregated around and about.

If you ever want to browse the area, Phillip Leigh used to, and may well still be, the clubs estate agents (they used to have it at the bottom of all their adverts in the local Guardian) - http://www.phillipleigh.com/

The reason Chelsea players live in Esher/Weybridge is from
Mourinhos first stint at Chelsea, players had to live within a certain radius of the training ground.

A friend I used to go school with, was a squad player and had to get dispensation to live further away,
as he could not afford to live there.

Scott Parker still there as saw him this morning.

I know through work of a few ex-players who used to live in Hertfordshire.

Judas used to live in Hertford and Glenn Helder (ex-scum) used to live in St Albans - he was quite a nice guy (Helder that is!)

And Anderton used to be in the Hemel Hempstead area - also Mr Jimmy Greaves used to live in Harpenden (i think he still does?)

I know none of these are recent players but I never miss an opportunity to name-drop!

If you have a Delorean and a flux capacitor handy and took a trip back to early 90's a fair few spurs plays lived in and around Hoddesdon and Broxbourne. Gazza, Paul Stewart, Steve Sedgley, Ray Clemence, Ozzie, Pat Jennings, Chris Houghton. However the place has gone downhill since I lived there. Hoddesdon in particular is unrecognisable due to the need for 5000 supermarkets in a square 400 meters.

I don't think it's trendy enough for the modern day footballer though...
Don't forget David Howells.
