Sounds like some areas of promise

Defence and CM I guess still a bit worrying.

Will Amos really be playing prem this year?

CCV was at fault for the first goal. Still has a lot to learn.

I guess he hasn't had the training session where they tell you to track your runners yet.

Considering this is his chance to impress Poch that was a serious case of switching off at the back.

Is he? I didn’t see so can’t say, but if he’s ready then it represents some step up from Stevenage.

I’m surprised he didn’t get a better loan if he was that close to being Prem ready

Dele went from MK dons to Spurs it can be done. I’m not sure Amos is “ready” but said before I prefer him to Onomah just on work rate tenacity and energy alone. I think he’s ready for a bit part season and get comfortable around senior squad as KWP did last season.

Like Skipp's willingness to pin his ears back and run with the ball.

We need more horse racing comparisons on players ?

Friendly or not I bet it’s a long time since anyone had 16 goal attempts against barca in a half of football.

When I said Amos is ready, its in relation to likes of Onomah & Winks getting their chance in PL. He looks more ready than Onomah atleast. He could be given a squad role through out the season with minutes here & there. I wouldn't look at what happenned at Stevenage, afterall Winks didnt play for any club even on loan but looked par at Tottenham.

First half we were terrible. Nearly every time a Barca player got near one of ours we lost the ball. Barca on the other hand were passing the ball around our poor attempt at a press. Their technical ability was worryingly a lot better than ours. CCV, despite falling asleep a bit for the first, was good and our best player in the first half. I still don't know what to make of him though. He seems a reacter rather than a reader. Amos was probably the next best of a bad bunch.

Second half was completely different. I don't know how much it had to do with their inexperience in midfield or the small change in formation + players but we were very good, especially when Son eventually went to ST. Dominated the ball and territory. Eriksen was excellent in the No.10 role. Amos, and particularly Skipp, were great too. Should have won the game in the end with the chances we had.

One interesting thing was Lucas played through the middle on his own in the second half when Llorente went off instead of Son. Could be just experimenting of course, but with him playing up front in the last game too I wonder if we're going to see him more in that spot.

Anyone have a clip of Lucas' sweet little dribble he had at midfield to get out of a crowd? He's so much fun to watch.

He's the sort of player I traditionally associate with Brazil. It was sad to see that missing from their World Cup team.

He's ready. All he needs is an opportunity in the league to show what he can do. Poch already trusts him and it seems his teammates do as well. This might sound like a cheap excuse but the fields that we played our friendlies on were not really that good. I bet he'd look way better on premier league pitches.

Has Skipp grown recently?

He looks ready for the mens game now. The run and dribble at 2.05 was pretty strong.

Well he’s only 17 so probably. I do remember having some concerns over his size. But now looks at least 5ft 10 so fine on that front. Be very handy if he could get to 6ft and considered a serious option at CB as he has played there. Be like having mini Dier.

I'd like to see something like this tomorrow

Son
Moura------------------------Georgiou
Eriksen ---- Amos
-------- Skipp -------
Davies ------ Sanchez -------CCV-------- KWP

Poch has just confirmed that Lamela will not play tomorrow.
