I like Skipp and the other youngsters and think they show potential but lets be honest, they look out of their depth here. Granted I have only kept half an eye on this match.
Not that the first teamers look any better mind you.

Hot take: Ben Davies might not be a brilliant centre-back.
To be fair to Davies - he might look better if he had Sanchez and Rose on either side of him - with Dier/Wanyama sitting in front.

He is probably better suited to LCB - but these have been good matches to test him as a pure CB.

I’ve never been so unenthusiastic for the start of a Premier League season before. :(

this is our final game before it all kicks off next week, and this is the line up and performance we are seeing ... very uninspiring to say the least.

I know exactly what you mean.ive practically accepted its going to be a crap year before a ball is kicked.watched some pretty terrible teams throughout the 90s but that was back when we knew we were bad but then you lived in hope that the new season would bring a change in luck. This season promised so much a few months ago but just seems everything has worked against us.
Fixtures dont look kind.
Run of away and tough games to start with.
So many players still to come back into the squad.
Players already seem to be struggling with injuries.
Lack of midfielders/signings
Time probably going to be needed to adapt to the new stadium.
Most other clubs seem to have added something they were missing.

Would be surprised if we finished top 4 let alone had a run at city.

Not the most reverting match I have ever seen. Wasn’t exactly expecting fireworks but maybe a little more from our last friendly before the PL kicks off next week.

Shit man, and I was quite looking forward to watching some football this season. Shame it's already decided.

So, what are our scores gonna be? Where is it we end up finishing in the league?

I think everyone is on the same page with Skipp - he has a lot of potential, but is not ready yet.
Unfortunately none of these kids are up to premiere league class. Skipp and Eyome may make it when they get o;der Marsh never will and Georgiou isnt a back , Amos wont ever be an automatic starter either but he has some potential.
