To me this just sums up what a shit show spurs management is. Its a pointless friendly but why arrange it in the first place?
Clearly someone somewhere thought it would be a good idea.
But i'd love to know what the club gains from this apart from poch having more reason for knocking on levy door in the morning and saying look we are fucked for next week.what have you been doing for the past 3 months to earn your massive salary.none of the players i wanted moving in or out have happened.

Id bet that EVERY PL club has a friendly this weekend...do they all have shit management like ours?
Or is it just because we're losing you're throwing a little strop?

This is spot on.

A lot of these youth boys out there today have came out a bit too arrogant for me thinking they've played well vs the other teams in pre season but now they are playing actual professionals they are way off the level its good for them to have the wake up call.

Nothing wrong with being confidence but its been dented quickly with them.

They will be back after 3 weeks holiday - where most are also working on their fitness.

I didn't know there was a 3 week rule.

With our so called brilliant squad depth (according to many on this forum) you'd expect something else than taking the piss from Girona.

This isn't even our B team, it's basically an under 23s team with 2 or 3 first teamers thrown in. Girona are physically bossing us, better balanced and know each others game better.

That said, I'm worried about Davies today. He looks off the pace and not match sharp...

Think theres a certain compulsory number of holiday days clubs have to give players a year and sadly the quota doesn't end until the Monday where as a lot of the players for other clubs came back early none of ours have offered to do so...or Poch has told them they must take the full holiday.

I would have though it was the same as anyone else employed in the UK, which is 28 days including bank hols. I imagine this is spread across the season and summer?

No shit sherlock probably every club has a game this weekend and id say most of them will be playing the majority of the team that will be featuring next weekend so they will be gaining fitness and sharpness and working on shape.
Doesnt matter what the score is tonight which is what i did say if you even bothered to read the post. My issue is what do we gain from this. This is the weakest side we have fielded in the 4 pre season games and would be staggered if more than 3 of them started next weekend.
