Don't really want hiim back but if he did and banged them in nobody would complain then.

That's the way I feel about it too .

He's such a pain in the arse but I could put with all that for a striker with real skill .

He's still one of the best strikers in Europe when he wants to be .

And the Berbatov replacement is .... Berbatov .

Bizarre in a 21st century Spurs sort of way .

I feel you but this dude is class, can you imagine cheering for Adebayor after all that time at the arse.

Having him with Ade, Defoe, Harry K and possible CS will be worth it.

He never really depended on pace for his game so 31 wont be issue really. I remember the game against Bolton at home when we were a man down and he had to play as alone striker, his ball retention was second to none. Honestly berb is class.
The Bolton performance was awesome.

As I have said many times, this is the player we should get, him and Adebayor and that will be absolutely splendid for now

Lets just eat humble pie and remember that he is still a class player and would fit beautifully into our current team and playing style

I'd take him, he's a total wanker, but they all are. Support the club cos the players don't work for support.

I fell in love with the man only to have him break my heart. But saying that, I would give him a second chance. Let him realize where his only true home is and always was. For a good price, I would stand for this. Let bygones be bygones. And mt man crush rant is over.

Actually I've been suggesting this for a while now; a no brainer really.........and you guys who are against this: just be careful you don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Well, we need strikers, and if we aren't going to get anyone else, then he would at least be a half decent option. Get him for reasonably cheap and it doesn't matter too much if it doesn't work out.

8m would be too expensive for Levy though, he wouldn't see the value in that; I just hope he considers the opportunity cost of not having enough strikers.

Yer lets have the cock sucker back, you know the player who refused to wear the Spurs shirt.

I'd sooner put up with Defoe and Kane all season long rather than hire the fucking Bulgarian mother fucker. O.K.!

similar to a certain mr t Sheringham who also went to man ure albeit under less acrimonious circumstances...
It wasn't quite the same when Teddy left, but he also left us for ManU in order to win trophies. Just like Berba. And if my memory doesn't fail me, didn't Teddy say that Spurs hadn't enough ambition for him or something similar. Didn't he get booed as well on his return to the Lane? Yet now after his second stint, he's in the Spurs Hall of Fame and considered somewhat of a club legend.

I'd welcome Berbatov back in a heartbeat. So what, he wanted to win trophies and get a bigger paycheck. They all do. Berbatov is one of the most naturally gifted footballers we've had in recent years. His ball control and first touch are second to none. Welcome back Berba, all is forgiven!

As usual, you'll get no overly sentimental comment from me, one way or the other. "In a heartbeat"....don't be so stupid. He was a class act for us but treated the club and fans with such disdain that I was appalled at the time. Now I still think he is a cock and, given the preference, would rather not see him back in a Spurs shirt...so no heartbeats for me.

But, setting aside any personal feeling and looking at this from purely a football point of view, it simply cannot be denied that he is a remarkable player. He is certainly a few years older and might have lost a yard or two, but then his game was never really about pace anyway. To those that "dumb" rated the poster who said he was better than Ade....these days its hard to tell, but in his day Berbatov was everything Ade is plus a whole lot more. What galls me the most here is the fact that I know he is exactly what we need for AVBs style with one striker leading the line. He has brilliant vision, can hold the ball up, can work a goal from a seemingly impossible position, and isn't going to get caught offside 11 times out of 10. For the price and the football then I say yes, bring him back. But he is still a dickhead.

Maybe we could get him on a season long loan, it would be a short term solution until we find a suitable replacement for Ade

I
but... AVB is not interested therefore it's a waste of time talking about it!
I think you are about right. Not only that but Levy is probably not interested and Berbatov would probably prefer to go somewhere else.

No, a player who effectively went on strike should not be brought back to the Club. He showed no respect for the team or the fans, don't want him here.
Agree. Remember when he was "too good for us because he was going to be the main man at Man United". We don't want a bench warmer from the second best team in some northern city.

He absolutely should NOT be a bench warmer for Utd though! He's good enough to start for them. If a player doesn't suck up to Fergie, he doesn't play.

Although I was gutted when he left, he made us alot of cash and I would welcome him back. He will be cheap, he can finish, has bags of premiership experience whats not to like? He will be perfect with VDV - get him in! If we can accept Ade we can forgive Berbs.

Thank you!! He disrespected the shirt, and took his wages while sulking and refusing to play. Ps in addition to wearing a D&G hat while on the bench. For which he Im sure got paid... I don"t care how good he was. F**k him.
