Tough one. We’re already likely to be looking for a CB to replace Jan which won’t be cheap. Needing another on top of that will seriously affect chances of strengthening other areas of the team that need it. His ability to fill in other positions would be missed too. I also reckon Mourinho still rates him, seeing as he wanted him at Man U and has played him lots Since coming here.

Exactly. Any ready made replacement is likely to ask for similar at least. And if we at least doubled Toby’s salary, and we see Dier as a future starter, I can see why he’d start negotiations at that

the delusion of telling Eric to do one....been a very good player for us and, relative to the group, underpaid. We have a completely mucked up squad and people want to add another CB option to little Danny's to do list? Sure. That will end well. Ginger Pele will be back!

Fair enough I’d say. Ndombele is rumoured to be getting 200k a week and Dier is contributing much more to the team than he has atm. Aim high and settle at 90k.
