Looks like :

McGee
Walker-Peters, Veljkovic, Lesniak, Georgiou
Amos, Walkes
Townsend, Miller
Sonupe
Much better balanced team than recent. Amos and Walkes as CM's rather than as LB and no 10. Lesniak playing as a CB rather than as a DM, but TBH those positions can be almost interchangeable in many teams

Georgiou playing as LB rather than as a winger is the only oddity.

We are playing with 10 players ? ;)

For a 19 year old I felt he started well but bar Luton, this was a first experience of men's football. I feel the experience will do him good.

He'll have more protection in the English leagues and think he'll play better at a club like Coventry City, where the team tries to play football.

I think starting at he 3rd tier of English football would be good for him.

If he's lucky enough to get a chance at a Championship club, he could have the same impact as Pritchard he could make his way intp the first team.

His preseason form with us was highly impressive.

Personally, If we are to sell Townsend we will need a player of his type to offer something different to an Eriksen or Lamela.

We lack a player with pace in the attacking third and I feel he would be a welcome addition to the first team squad.

I for one have high hopes for him.

No Carter-Vickers, Winks or Oduwa for the U21s this afternoon. A squad possibility for Wednesday nights game cup game?

Maybe, or are all if interest to Fulham, who are rumoured (by ITK, I believe?) to want cash & a player or two for Dembele (don't know if the players they'd want would be permanent or loans?)

I imagine that none would be offered in permanent deal. They are after all starlets of our academy and seemingly highly though of by the club. All could be used in a loan plus cash deal, which would be great for them to cut their teeth in the championship

Thanks fella (y).. I don't know enough about any of the young players mentioned, only what people write on here. So hopefully you're right, and IF any if them are of interest to Fulham, they (Fulham) can help those youngsters to improve & mature on the pitch.

If Townsend is off, I think there's room in our squad for someone with his unique skill set, chuck him some minutes where he'll get better protection and better team mates and he might just swim instead of sink.

Would really like that and I agree I think he could offer something different and cause problems. Even if it is just drawing fouls around the box and not actually assisting. My only problem is whose spot on the bench would he realistically take. GK, CB, FB, CM, CM, WF, WF. He would need to take up a WF spot which is currently being taken by Chadli, Son, Onomah and maybe a returning Pritchard. If we wan't Onomah on the bench then he could arguably take up a CM spot but then you're excluding, Carroll, Mason, Bentaleb and Winks from the bench. It is becoming very crowded, but I wouldn't be against it.

I think Nathan is a real talent- he needed to go away and learn about football imo he was in a safety net at Tottenham and what he needed was to be exposed to the reality of football when its a serious business not just a game with your mates That said in his time at Ranger he has managed to adapt his skills and done pretty well.

He has lot to his game, he simply can do things other players can't if you can deliver those talents and they can brought into a team then you could have a special player. I think he has to believe it himself and hopefully he can do that at Tottenham he would certainly be an interesting option coming of the bench and I still think that he could and should become a central striker

100% with all of this, I think his loans are the type where he has learned something outside of football. Mentally/Emotionally beneficial loans, gritty football, no real place time for a luxury player, overcome fear of injury and loss of confidence. If he comes back from that it could really round him as a player. I think he has the potential to be special, but he is the type that can really go either way.

What I also agree with is your striker point, I have said quite a few times I think he'd make a good striker in the Kanu mould. He used to be a striker too. He can hold the ball up, can beat a man if he is running at a last defender, he has composure and strength and pace. Lastly he can also link up with people, I think he'd would be worth trying out.

Also welcome @Ady turner

Is now televised and changed to Wednesday (y)

Seems to be shaping up for quite a young squad. He could go strong starting lineup and look to bring on youngster later on, otherwise it will be massive rotation if he goes with a similar starting lineup to last time and those guys on bench
