both players were booked.

Thanks Kali - glad that the altercation with the Arsenal player didn't affect Dean's performance. The side needed Dean and a couple of the other more senior ones to put in a big performance with a relatively inexperience4d side out there today. I said Well done to Dean on twitter

Just spurred him on to keep playing and thanks for telling him you thought he did well, it will do him good to hear that.

Is Dombaxe really only 17? He seems to have been around for ages.

Actually 18 (dob May 1994). And Milos Veljkovic (another name since giod knows when !) is a year younger, qualifies this season as a first year academy - he played first tean freindlies when only just 15 !

How good is Jack Munns?

He's 19 in his first year out of the academy and in Professional ranks. He has a lot of competition in midfield from some very good players and consequently has not played a lot to date. Seems a very whole hearted player who always is available to be passed to if a player needs a colleague to pass to, a very hard working player who 'never gives up', but whilst he is technically not bad he's maybe not as good as some of the others, such as Alex Pritchard. On the other hand, as seen in yesterday's game, despite being relatively short his sheer enthusiasm was allowing him to win headers against much bigger opposition and generally get into goal scoring positions.

At the moment he's probably been regarded as a useful member of the development squad, but with a lot out on loan, this is his opportunity to show what he can do - and if he continues to do what he did yesterday (MOTM and score 2 goals) then he will continue to impress the coaches. How far he will get - impossible to say right now, except that he probably has a long way to go to get to the first team, although things can obviously change.

Cheers for these Spursidol. And the previous game. Any chance you can put some names to numbers so I know who's who. I thought we looked particularly strong down the left, attacking wise, but very good all over the pitch. Technique seems to be excellent throughout, work rate was very good, pressing the ball all over.

Results are very irrelevant at this stage, performance is everything, and performance in every facet was very good. Technique, movement, collective coherence etc.

Good stuff.

Hm, you sure Dombaxe aint 1995?
Seen both 94 and 95, Spurs doesn't seem to have a profile on him,
but the interweb seem to have decided on 95.

Hi BC,

I'm not absoutely sure buit think that putting numbers 1-18 (excluding 13 I think) to the list below (from my post on the last page - to which I have added numbers for convenience) is going to be probably right.

Using that numbering system, the guy who scored twice in the Skonto game was no 7 who would be Shaylon Harrison, a striker who was in the Milk Cup 2012, so that seems right. Unfortunately neither I nor most of the other youth team watchers have seen much of the u16's (Spurs don't encourage the public to watch these games - the youngest they enourage public to watch is u18's and the u17 Millk Cup) so its difficult to identify anyone.

Incientally I think the players in blue below, are the oldest/most experienced of the group, most have already made their debuts for u 18's (and in the case of Onomah also at u 19's and u 21's), and I suspect the rest will be seen at u 18 level either this season or next season.

I agree with everything you say which i've made bold in your post - whilst the foootball is not as good as the u 18's or u 21's it really is clear that the lads are being coached to play the Spurs way with plenty of passing. off the ball movement, attsacking and defending as a team etc. It bodes well for the future. I was very impressed when I watched the videos.

Incidentally if you want to watch more of the Riga Cup they will gradually add more videos to this link - they have just added the Vitesse game for example. Last year there were videos for every game played http://www.rigacup.lv/winter/eng/?page_id=648

Repeat of Previous post with probable numbers added :
Incidentally the squad for the Riga Cup is :

1 Harry Voss
2 Anton Walkes
3 Luke Amos
4 Anthony Georgiou
5 Cy Goddard
6 Joshua Onomah
7 Shayon Harrison
8 Christopher Paul
9 Armani Daly
10 Christian Maghoma
11 Charlie Hayford
12 Kerem Ismail
13 or 14 Charlie Owens
14 or 15 Joseph Muscatt
15 or 16 Kyle Walker-Peters
16 or 17 Ryan Loft
17 or 18 Joshua Walker
18 or 19 Louis Ramsey

7 of the squad (in blue) played in the Milk Cup 2012. Christian Maghoma is the younger brother of Jacques who many regarded as a good potential player in Martin Jol's time.

All boirn after 1 January 1997 according to the rules - make you feel old ??

Just been listening to the Spurs - Vitesse match commentary and they read out the squad with their numbers - above I have changed the numbers to those read out, but some of the squad may not have been involved as some names/numbers were not read out.

We've got him listed as '95 on Football Squads. And it makes sense as it puts him in the same football year as the other 2nd year Academy players.
