We played a good-ish game today. Bolton didn't have a look-in at all apart from the goal. In the first half we must've had 90 percent possession but we didn't create anywhere near enough.

And when we did create stuff we missed them, every single one of them.

Funniest comment of the day was the guy next to me when Jenas skied a free kick in the first half: 'Jenas, it's a free kick, not a goal kick!' Other than that JJ played a decent game today but lost the ball dangerously twice.

I thought we played well today, our passing and movement were both pretty good and as someone mentioned we had an awful lot of possession.Zokora and Hutton both had good games at right back! Our attacking players did'nt cover themselves in glory and a lot of the time made the wrong choices.
Overall, not too disappointed with the performance but the result should have been better!

Guy I went to the game with bumped into Mark Clattenburg at King's Cross station after the game.

He asked him about Zoko's booking - apparently Zok apologised for diving, so Clattenburg booked him.

Anyway, we played alright, should and could easily have won.

Meant to put a bit to cover this - they're injured and DC Boy will come in and tell me off if I include them!

Natch if fit it would be:

Gomes

Hutton Woodgate King Bale

Modric Jenas Diarra Capel

Berbatov Keane

take no notice of chrissi DJS :) I really dislike the kind of smilie he put on there and it's usually 'straight to ignore' if anyone does it to me - so I won't reply to him in kind - but just to say he's the one making the grave error by assuming King and Bale will be starters next season for us- especially King - I mean how many more times is he going to miss the start of a season before people get sceptical - I think he's missed at least three starts to the season through injury - and it's probably more, so experience tells me counting on him is flawed to say the least

TBH these fantasy XIs tend not to be very accurate - I will guarantee no-one last April got within two players of the starting XI that trotted out v Mackems that fateful day

re the game - it was good to watch in the sense that we played some good football- and I always like watching Spurs anyway

however Bolton were appalling - anti-football to the nth degree - foul and frustrate that should be their motto - so hope they get relegated

thought zokora hutton and woodgate were our best players

Berbs had one of his worst games for a while - terrible miss at the end - and not too good on the clever free kick he worked with JJ only to totally fluff the shot

Diving aside,Zokora was awesome at Right back

he did look alright playing there

and they were some class dives! from the other end of the ground when he got booked for diving it was still obvious he dived

DC_Boy, your coming across like a total twat, please dont tell other posters to ignore to to start with, the smiley i used because the one i weanted wasn't there, i never said King or Bale whould be starters next year.

If you look at the teams people are picking we dont even have all the players, so if they can pick players we dont own there is no problem picking injured people.

I hope DJS saw i was just playing with his team, if not im sorry

Another frustrating afternoon at the Lane.I know this argument has raged on and on,but i couldnt keep help thinking to myself during the game we need someone who can consistently deliver a good cross. Also once again not ruthless enough in front of goal.

aha so I can put you on ignore - :) - I really don't like being called a twat - if you can't find the right smiley don't put offensive ones on is my humble advice :) - notice i put a nice :) on when I was giving 'the advice' to DJS (like I control what he thinks anyway :) - the nice smilie :) is a well recognised code for don't take this too seriously :)

BTW I am serious about the ignore bit tho even tho I put a :) because I know it's not important in the grand scheme of things it just helps me keep my self-respect when I'm being insulted

doesnt even have to be someone who can consistenly deliver a good cross, even a player who can just create something, we seemed to have a lak of ideas from the midfield and forwards on how to create chances!

Oh, I thought it looked like they'd worked on a few things in training, they just didn't come off! (re the Free Kicks)

the free kicks and set players were still abit pathetic mst the time, O`Hara's cross for Berbatov's late chance, and the one where Berabtov cut back as everyone rushed forward were good ones!! but during the game we need to be more creative, we cant just hope to wait for free kicks or corners, we should be able to create good opening's now with the players we have, we just seem to strugle in a fair few matches to do this

talking about crosses and set plays note Barry's two assists today

and when he was available years ago so many Spurs 'sages' told us he wasn't good enough for us - yeah right - not :)
