They've had a couple of good games this week on ESPN Classic. They had the 4-3 win over West ham the other day, and the bonfire night 2-1 win over Chelsea last night. Only 30 mins highlights though.

think that was the game with atouba having a nice bit of skill (for once) on the left, i remember martins screamer alright. think ziegler played as well

Why post this? I don't want to watch something that's going to depress or annoy me! Remember watching this game with 2 geordie boys.....bad bad memories of them all over my face when Martins scores :-(

Has anyone here met/had a conversation with a reasonable Newcastle fan? We used to get tarred with the 'Delusions of Grandeur' brush, but these guys are something else.

Massive generalization obviously, but I've yet to meet a down to Earth, realistic Geordie.

I lived with 3 Newcastle fans last year, only 1 of which was actually a geordie and ironically turned out to be the most rational and sensible. I think deep down they realise they're not the powerhouse they "used" to be, but none of them are willing to admit it. I remember they were all getting psyched when Victor Moses was going to sign for them before he eventually went to Wigan, after which 1 of them said "Why go to Wigan? We are the bigger club! Wanker." Nuff said, really.
