We all know what is going to happen here, it’s not going ahead is it

But this is another nail in the football coffin for me. They are calling this game off because Arsenal have injuries and they want to be as prepared as possible for a semi final second leg midweek. No doubt about it.

It’s an absolute disgrace what is going on with these postponements and it’s not just Arsenal. Burnley again, they sold someone yesterday and are now getting a game off because they don’t have enough players, people spend hundreds in advance to go to these games and the PL is just letting the clubs pick and choose when they play games because they don’t have their strongest team

Absolute shit show. Fuck the PL, Arsenal are taking the piss but they aren’t the only ones (I know it’s the EFL) but what Liverpool did last week was fucking shocking and it’s only getting worse

I'm coming from Belfast with my youngest. Flights booked for tomorrow morning so I'm going to go ahead anyway. Like you I cant see why it takes 24 hours to make a decision.
Hopefully the match goes ahead for you. I'm heading to Southampton match from Belfast and dreading that they postpone that match to fit in one of the previous postponed games.

Unless they’ve had another load of positives then I don’t see what grounds they are asking for postponement on. This will get rejected imo.

Even better would be if they get the game postponed and we end up beating them when we finally play them with Son and Dier scoring the goals.
More likely the match goes ahead and we lose then wishing the game was postponed that be typical Spursy ? Sunday be shit with no Spurs day fs.

Neville and Carra ripping into Arsenal! The PL is so spineless I can see them declining Arsenal's attempt now that they know it's the popular thing to do.

They keep saying they're not picking on Arsenal but they should be. This is the most unashamed attempt to date of a club trying to get a game postponed because they haven't managed their squad.

I think that award is called the "Klopp Trophy".

You are right, don't let these idiots get to you, we are all fans of the Spurs here.

Hopefully the Arsenal don't get their way and Gary Kane, Derek Dier and Harry Minks show them who's boss, up the Tottenham!
Im pretty sure I've seen posts exactly like this on Facebook and reddit. :ROFLMAO:

It’s quite blatant they are pulling a fast one. If the Covid cases are inhibiting the team they can put out then yes it’s fair to call it off. But when the reported ‘cases’ are one person, that cannot be used as an excuse to postpone. It’s bad squad management that has put them in this situation, so they need to suck it up and field players from their academy to get the game played.
If this gets canceled then what’s stopping this happening again and again?
Covid outbreaks yes, postpone. Multiple injuries and one case?! Stick that where the sun don’t shine. Hope Liverpool and Leeds cause a fuss over this.

It's so obvious that this will now be postponed. I was only thinking a couple of days ago how odd it is to have the second NLD in January, as its usually in March/April. I guess this will keep up with tradition as it'll be more of a season definer if its postponed.

Fuck arsenal though, cheating ****s.

The more I think about this the more disgusted I become.

The postponement policy exists to cover the extenuating circumstances of widespread Covid outbreaks within squads. But Arsenal don't have a widespread outbreak, they have one fucking case. Their problems are almost completely of their own making.

Arsenal are, purely for their own benefit, cynically attempting to misappropriate and abuse a policy that exists to cope with a global crisis that has claimed millions of lives. Their situation has little to nothing to do with that crisis. It's morally repugnant.

Like Crystal Palace, it's the way they've done it so publicly that makes it especially scummy.

They're right though. This isn't the right reason for a game to be called off. Suspensions, AFCON and injuries is shit luck, but that's all it is.

You know what though? If this goes ahead they'll win and we'll be a complete meme :cautious:

ABSOLUTELY 100% spot on. I'm sending you a trophy.

Remember Lasagne-gate! Sometimes, I really do actually hate football and all the gutless monkeys who run it.

I dont think this will be postponed still.. one covid case is too low and makes a mockery.

If they had three or four cases then maybe

To add - the claims of hypocrisy are laughable. Arsenal play within a 5 mile radius of us, so it's completely incomparable to suggesting that a team doesn't fly in from the continent when we have COVID cases,

They always get away lightly it goes right through their history.

The fact they are trying to get a game called off because they have suddenly realised they have some African players and Granit Xhaka is a moron.

Which is hardly news to anyone on earth, but has managed to catch them off guard.

No other team has tried to get a game called off for anything like this, they might as well say we want the game off because bears shit in woods.

Apparently their under 23 team tonight was filled with under 18's, almost as if they are preparing to select some under 23's on Sunday.
