He talked about process and time needed in his post match prezzer.

If he was serious about that, and it is about those two things, why hasn't he signed a new contract?
Because they're still negotiating it.
That's a bit of a stretch.

Wow you must be an insider for the football club’n

wow you must be an insider for the football club?? Talking absolute horse shit!!! Wow
No. I just try not to look at it dispassionately and not knee-jerk. Not saying I'm right, just an opinion, but I think people bark up the wrong tree and would be sorely disappointed if we got taken over. It's unlikely to be the solution.

I dont know why Conte has the side going backwards compared to last season, but nobody will care if he leaves if he can't turn it around. Last season, he had very frustrating games until we finally got into a good rhythm at the right time. By the run in, we were flying. At no point this season have we been similarly good.

We're going to sink down the table like a stone if this continues and we deserve to. And a manager should be doing better with the squad we have.
Totally agree. Don’t know why so many are conned by Conte. His style might work in Italy but the PL needs high energy football. His brand of football fails to get the best out of what we have. No one is going to come in to buy the club and give any manger £150million to spend every transfer window. Far from being pragmatic he is just a fantasist.

Who does he think he is holding the club to ransom? Perhaps he is just waiting to get sacked and walk away with a huge payoff. Quite honestly there are a lot of to managers available.

Conte's in game management today was either some kind of dirty protest or incompetence. Gil was the only player looking to work between the lines and get the ball moving, so he subbed him of for another robot athlete type player. The next best player was bissouma (who wasn't great) so he was subbed of next. Losing 2 nil but finishing the match with 3 cbs 2 rbs and 2 lbs. Even the starting 11 could have moved to a 433 and posed different problems to villa.

Up until the first goal this had 0-0 written all over it. Villa were happy to sit back and we were happy to just play in front of them.
Attack wise we were dire. No intensity, everything done too slowly. Nobody carries the ball forward , nobody attempts to get in behind(Doherty tried to make a few runs in behind early on but nobody was interested in finding him so he stopped doing it!), no attempt to get 2 on 1 out wide to overlap(Spence tried to within a minute of coming on which again begs the question of why he doesn’t get more minutes?). Just continually passing the ball from side to side in front of the Villa defense who were totally untroubled.
As I said 0-0 written all over the game until we committed our mandatory individual mistakes.
First shot Lloris faces and he spills it and Watkins is quicker than the defenders to the loose ball. Special mention to Bissouma who is static on the edge of the penalty area until too late he realizes Buendia is unmarked in space in the area.
Second goal Bissouma(again) m, for reasons only he knows, stops and lets Douglas Louis proceed into the penalty area unhindered.
Not the start of the New Year we wanted.
Lot of questions need answering. Not least how come 2 world class successful coaches can’t get a tune out of a Tottenham team when they have everywhere else they’ve been.

I’ve been saying Conte should go, but it was not long ago that Arsenal fans were begging for Arteta to go. Things can change and managers need time to build success. But the question is do we believe in Conte’s vision? Is he the manager who’s here for the long run when he doesn’t believe in young players? What are we seeing now that we believe will be better next season?

arteta was hired for a long-term project; it wouldn’t have made sense to fire him for a wobble unless the decline was too much. But Conte? He says he’s here for the here and now; he’s shown with his handling of Spence that he has no interest in developing players for 1,2,3 years down the line.

the big mistake we made was firing Poch. I’m not sure hiring him will solve our problems but I think we should look to him for inspiration for who we should hire; a young-ish, progressive manager who develops players. We’re not rich enough to buy ready made players to win titles; we have to buy players who can develop into title winners.

thats just our reality. It means winning will always be a long shot but if we stick to that plan, ocassionally we’ll win something. Flip flopping between strategies or trying to be Chelsea without the same amount of money just reduces our chances further of success.
I’m not sure how you can say ”we’re not rich enough”? With the new stadium we generate more money than most other clubs, although granted we should be doing much better commercially. We could buy ready made players we just decide not to. We are a big club with plenty of money coming in but act like a small club in financial difficulty.
It’s not just to do with money though. To succeed in any business you have to have plan both short term and long term and be willing to invest sufficient funds when necessary and also be willing to ride out the bumps in the road when they inevitably occur. Unfortunately our owners don’t seem to have a plan for on field success.

Levy would be insane to give Conte any more money.

His 3-5-2 is predictable, pedestrian and easily nullified.

For it to take over fifteen minutes at home against a team with one away victory all season, for one of the best strikers in World football to get his first touch of the ball speaks volumes of Conteball.

Call out the players all you want, but a manager that has seen his side fall behind first in ten straight games must now start to be questioned whatever players at his disposal.
He has to be willing to give money to somebody because the squad is not good enough. He wanted and appointed Conte so he’s got to put his money where his mouth is or what’s the point?

Emery’s coaching didn’t cause Lloris to fumble a save or make Bissouma decide not to track Douglas Louis into the box?

Villa were always going to score, we created nothing, nada, zilch all game.

At 2-0 down Villa were more likely to score than us.

Sorry can’t follow your logic? Because we created nothing doesn’t equate that Villa we’re always going to score. They didn’t have a shot in target in the first half. Until Lloris’s cock up the game had 0-0 written all over it.

Well it's a game of opinions, I still stand by my assertion that Emery out coached Conte today as he has done to many others with lesser sides.

He's a good manager.

Because the players they have at their disposal are not very good...

Any rumours of billionaires buying the club? Anything to give me glimmer of hope

We already have a billionaire owner.
That ain't the problem.
Let's get a billionaire in that wants to win trophies and isn't an old miserable prick like Lewis.

Quite a few managers have out coached Conti recently then and its has been only by the luck going against them and the quality we have (yes we do) that we have scraped the result.
