A full rebuild will take years and the fans don't have the patience. The problem is how do you immediately replace Kane and his output without being mid table for a period of time.
I honestly don't think we have a choice. Kane leaves in 6 or 18 months IMO. What we need to do now is make the best decision for us as a club.

I would look at our younger playeron hitting their prime some on long contracts and build around them Romero, Bentancur, Bissouma, Kulusevski and Richarlison are all really good players IMO. Udogie looks a great player, Spence, Skipp, Sarr and Gil are talented young players.

We will have to bring in more players of course but the reality for me is we have blown the chance of winning with Kane in the team. I really wanted it to work with Conte but I just don't see it.

Everyone wants titles, but we are so far from it, even if we spend 200M. So at least give me a positive playstyle and rebuild from there

Whole thing seems completely pointless. We're never going to spend enough to compete. The owners want too high a price to sell the club. We'll never compete, we'll never get new owners. Purgatory. Change the manager, don't change the manager. Makes no difference

We’re a 7th or 8th placed team at best. Chelsea have two games in hand on us, and Liverpool have one. With city twice to play this month, plus manager that won’t commit until the club spend big (unlikely) it’s all very grim

Keep Conte and get a billionaire owner. I’m bored of being a well run club off the field but nothing to show on it.

I’m genuinely heartbroken. We’ve built the club with fabulous training facilities and an awesome Manager with a World Class stadium but we’re still a million miles off.
Any rumours of billionaires buying the club? Anything to give me glimmer of hope
It’s the hope that kills you. ??

Honestly Poch coming in and playing Spence, Sarr and some youngsters with a bit of hunger and tempo sounds like an absolute lifeline at the moment.

Bored out of my skull with lumbering older players waiting to counter attack for two thirds of the game and then finding they can't because they are too far behind.
However, I don't see Poch being a long-term solution. Once the results don't go our way, you know what will happen next. I would prefer to see a young and emerging manager in charge in the mould of Eddie Howe and Graham Potter. We need a manager who is not afraid to drop players when they are out of form and use some of the talented youngsters more frequently. Conte is a good manager, but we are not the right fit for him. He is more suited to a big club with lots of spending power - basically, a club with ready-made players for his system.

So glad I sold my ST today. £60 quid up plus a tenner on Villa to win after seeing our team earlier. £100 to spend in the pub now. Silver linings and all that.

We are completely lost at this point. I don’t think we’ll ever appoint a manager of the calibre of Conte again but he is as much to blame for this shit show as the players. No way are those players today worse than Villa’s, despite the injuries.

He is presiding over a team that keep making the same mistakes again and again and he has no clue how to fix it. He’s stubborn, refuses to commit his future to the club and seemingly cannot even make an impact on our defensive fragilities. Not to mention the fact that we are abject in front of goal and probably the most boring team to watch in the league. It’s actually no fun at all to even go and watch us every week. This fucking club, they kill you
