Two changes from our last Premier League outing at Burnley with Sergio Reguilon and Erik Lamela coming in for Ben Davies and Lucas Moura, who are on the bench. It's nine changes from Thursday night in Antwerp, with only Hugo Lloris and Reguilon remaining in the starting XI.

TEAM FORM: ---- Spurs - WWDWL -------- Brighton - DDLLL ------
- (All Competitions)

We were uncharacteristically blunt in the final third in Belgium on Thursday — thanks largely to the deadly duo of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min being left on the bench — managing just two shots on target across the entire game. That being said, we are the highest-scoring team in the Premier League with 16 goals from six games so far. If we can cut out some of their defensive lapses, we sure to challenge right at the top of the table this season.

Our goal scoring prowess doesn’t bode well for Brighton, who have conceded the second-highest number of goals (12) in the Premier League in 2020/21, with Graham Potter’s side without a win in four and tasting victory just once from six games so far. The Seagulls will give as good as they get going forward, but do they have enough to stop Kane, Son and Co?

Brighton have won just one of their six Premier League meetings with us (D1 L4), with that victory coming in last season’s meeting at the Amex Stadium (3-0). Brighton have lost just once in their last 10 away Premier League games (W3 D6), losing to Everton in October. Brighton have won just two of their last 15 Premier League games in London (D5 L8), beating Crystal Palace in March 2019 and Arsenal in December 2019. Only bottom of the table Fulham (362) have been trailing for more minutes in Premier League matches this season than Brighton (241). In contrast, only Crystal Palace (313) have led for more minutes this term than us (294).

We have won each of our last four home league games against Brighton (including all three in the Premier League), since a 0-1 loss in October 1981. We have only lost one of our last 12 matches in the Premier League (W7 D4), although we are without a win in the last three on home soil (D2 L1). We last went four Premier League home games without a win in December 2013. Only Brighton (7) have conceded more set-piece goals (incl. penalties) in the Premier League this season than us (6), with each of us conceding three goals from the penalty spot (a joint-league high with four other teams).

Kane has scored 148 Premier League goals in just 216 appearances – should he reach 150 goals in this fixture, it would make him the joint-second quickest player to the milestone in the competition’s history (alongside Sergio Agüero), with only Alan Shearer (212 games) doing so in fewer games. Kane has recorded eight assists in six Premier League appearances this season, the most he has ever provided in a single campaign in the competition. In fact, Kane has more assists than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues this season.

Just six games into this season, Kane (7 assists) and Son (2 assists) have combined for nine Premier League goals so far – the joint-most for Spurs in a single campaign in the competition alongside Teddy Sheringham & Darren Anderton (9 in both 1992-93 and 1994-95) and Teddy Sheringham & Chris Armstrong (9 in 1995-96).

I really hope that we have got that crap out of our system and now turn up to play and win as well as I know we can. No excuses now, Jose should now by now his in form players and those who a willing to go the extra mile without any sense of complacency. Do not put us through that again Spurs, you owe us!!

Hope the weather has calmed down by tomorrow evening.

Early goal and we'll win well. Dunk is a huge loss for them.

4-1 Spurs. Kane hatrick.

Thursday's performance was similar to Everton this season and Southampton, Norwich, Sheffield Utd and Bournemouth away games last season. I think it is something we are prone to do. A lifeless and sterile performance. Let's hope its the last we see of it for a while.

We've struggled against 343 since Mourinho took over (and before that) and Brighton play it very well so it'll be interesting to see if we can solve the problem tomorrow. If we defend with just six players it'll be a long day.

..and here we go again ... Thanks @Bulletspur for the thread ... Seems totally surreal kicking off at 19.15 on a Sunday for us European fans, the rest of the world may like it better (or not if they are Orstralians or Kiwis)

No pissballing about TYVM, too old for that shit on a regular basis.

A win is what I want.

I'd love it if we mixed things up a little bit, playing a strong CM (both NDombele & GLC) but also giving Rondon a chance at the back, and possibly both Vinicius and Kane together (if not starting, at least bringing CV on).

As long as lloris does throw it into his own net while breaking his arm, Aurier doesn’t keep giving away stupid free kicks, Doherty doesn’t not be an improvement on Aurier, Alderweireid isn’t past it, Sanchez don’t overly commit/ isn’t weak/doesn’t fall Asleep, Dier doesn’t have a brain fart, Davies doesn’t isn’t Mr ordinary, Reguilón doesn’t get caught upfield, Højbjerg isn’t slow and not actually a defensive midfielder, Winks doesn’t keep passing backwards, Sissoko doesn’t mis control and mishit everything, Lo Celso doesn’t fail to get into the game, Ndombele isn’t lazy, Dele isn’t FFS, Son isn’t selfish, Kane isn’t static, Bale isn’t unfit, Lucas isn’t Theo Walcott, Bergwijn isn’t overweight, Lamela doesn’t hold onto the ball too long, and Clarke isn’t the entire reason we didn’t strengthen adequately in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 as well as the next six seasons...

i think we’ll draw.
