So does little Conte miss the next game?
Not sure how the red card works for managers

Very lucky but that’s what you need sometimes when you are as poor as we are.

Yeah it's nice to have a game as such when you know you'll most likely raise your level the next time, unfortunately for us this is just purely our level and it will give incentive to keep things completely unchanged, annoyingly.

Another positive to take from today's game: we have removed one potential manager from the "short" list...
I really liked de Zerbi before today. I knew he had a reputation for being fiery but I love the way he’s got Brighton playing. I think today’s events will rule him out though

An ugly 3 points but 3 points nonetheless. Not much to build on to be blunt. The players still are slow to figure and roles and responsibilities in attack and especially in defense. SImple choices like who is first defender, who's second, when to put immediate pressure on the ball, when to hold are taking way too much time giving the attack more time and more space. They are rarely in sync with each other.

Delighted with the result but good grief were we lucky, lucky, lucky. There was a noticeable improvement after Stellini departed. We had energy and aggression. Sure, we still weren't great but there was something there. Mason has already ruled out leading the team as his wife is about to have their third child but there's a lot more personality to a Mason side than there has seemed to be to a Conte or Stellini side.

I must admit whilst I think the system is a big problem, I did think because the players have been coached to it for a year or so, then Conte's mood was the killer for the team. I felt that if the players could just get at it for 10 games then we'd maybe get enough results

But these past 2 games have just shown that the system is nothing without Conte at his very best.

Basically, it needs a coach constantly barking orders to the players and telling them where to move and play.

Mason may actually try to implement some ideas. He'll likely get some wrong but he'll try to do it the Tottenham way
Felt they were Mason changes today. If so kudos to him for making the right calls and ultimately winning the game with his first sub

Had so little optimism about our remaining games that I was fairly numb to the idea of losing, but the all the aggro from De Zerbi and the extent to which us getting some help from the refs was boiling Jeff Stelling’s piss has me very pleased with that win. Kane scoring the winner after the bollocks said about the Doucoure red card is also pretty sweet.

Doesn’t matter how I feel about Spurs, they’re still my club and always will be. They may be a farcical shower of a football club right now, but they’re my farcical shower of a football club. De Zerbi, Jeff Sterling and Efan sodding Ekoku can suck it.

Please no more Stellini...he's just Conte Mark two ...

Put Mason in charge until the end of the season.
