Reasonable first half, despite not getting the opener. Absolutely 100% confident that we will get the win come full time.

Need about 50 chances to get a goal, that and a moron ref alongside park the bus utd keeping us at bay, thoroughly unenjoyable half.

Hate these type of matches were we are just trying to break down a team playing the 0-1-9 formation.
It's always a struggle

Without Lamela's goals we would not been in 3rd position
Lamela has played some excellent passes in this match. The ball into Lucas was sublime just because he missed one goalscoring chance. Certainly shouldn't be subbing him. Some fans really love to have a go. I'm fairly confident we will score second half.

His passing has been fine, the runs have been incredible but somebody needs to say to him, look I know you're surrounded by top talent but trust yourself to take it on yourself.

Sissoko needs to sharpen up 2nd half, decision making and passing hasn't been good enough.

Absolute load of nonsense. He's been fine, he put a great ball through to Lamela and Lamela's first touch was poor.

I'm a big fan of Lamela but so far on the basis of today, he seems to be having one of his frustrating performances, but he did put in a great pass. If he doesn't improve in the next 15 minutes of the second half I'd bring on Son for him.

Moura has made some great runs.

No need to panic just yet.

A few takeaways from that first half:

  • Kane could be one of the best playmakers in world football if he wasn't focused on being a striker instead. Some fantastic pinged balls all over the pitch, like the one to Sissoko for the counter-attack, and the one in towards Dele.
  • Skipp looks comfortable in that midfield role, and has gone all in for a couple of challenges. Certainly handling himself well out there so far.
  • Sissoko really lacks some decision-making, perhaps some confidence too.
  • Our crossing is kind of dreadful.
  • Is Dele playing? We haven't really seen much from him this half, at all.

Trippier putting Lloris under unnecessary pressure

Nothing wrong with the pass IMO, Lloris has a safe option to go long every time and he had time to decide what he wanted to do, plus it's not like the pass was a bad one.

Sissoko has been providing some good balls in the opponents box but his colleagues don’t seem to want him to get an assist. ?

We knew it would be a tough one. Just need to keep plugging away. Can't waste chances though.

He's made the wrong decision a couple of times now and his passing at the start of the game especially was loose.

He's been playing well lately, but that wasn't a great half from him.
