Paul Merson has said he'll be surprised if Chelsea don't whoop us, so that'll do for me.

The wait is interminable

Also, unless Davies gets the nod over Emerson, there won't be a single player starting for us who played under Poch. It'll mean less than nothing to them.

It's just fish wrapping.

There is a peculiar dynamic to this match. We’re going into it against another “big six” side as the favourite rather than the under dog; with personal pride at stake for the opposition manager. How will Chelsea react, will Poch get them in the mood to spoil our party or are they not engaged enough with him to find the motivation to compete with us? Could be a walkover or a humbling for us.

This is going to be a tough tough game. If Chelsea turn up then it will be a battle in the middle which will decide the winner. I hate how big headed a lot of spurs pundits are getting. This is no way going to be a walk in the park and I’ll be happy with a 1-0 or 2-1.

Chelsea prefer playing teams that come onto them, so this game will suit them.

DOH! Senior moment there, but yeah. It's almost an entirely new starting X1 and with some squad options left over.

The media care more about this prodigal son returning home more than either club does IMO.

We will absolutely destroy Chelski. 5-0 Spurs.
Chelsea are terrible , and they think they are better than they are - If they try and play football against us we will rip them to shreds. If they sit back they will be all over the place and we will smash them.
Either way - Big Spurs victory.
They aren’t terrible at all. They actually play some very good football but just can’t finish.

Im the exact opposite. I love how big headed we're ALL getting. For too long we've been the brunt of someone's jokes (3 points lane etc ). It's high time we all started being a little more positive about where we are currently. The positivity will bleed through to the players via the fans and that's only a good thing. Yes we might lose but that's the same for any team we face. No match is a walk in the park, I don't see what good it does for people to err on the side of caution. Enjoy the ride one and all, fans and pundits alike and fuck what others think. That's my onions.

I'm seeing way too many confident Spurs fans about this.

Chelsea still have good players in that squad, Poch will be up for this game and their players/fans always seem to turn up vs us also.

Even with them being poor, I still don't like this game! I think our last few games vs teams sitting back haven't helped, so hopefully Chelsea attack and push us from the front like Poch used to make us do.
