Agree, agree, agree BOF.

The way Terry and Lampard hound the ref is disgusting, constant words in his ear putting pressure on him. On the Ashley Cole incident they were straight over to him and you could tell Riley said something along the lines of "Its alright lads, I'll only give him a yellow," because they backed away satisfied almost immediately for once.

And as for Drogba... I think he's got a serious illness. Its like an obsessive compulsion the way he needs treatment and makes the most of every small bit of contact. I'd love to see how he reacts if he got a serious injury.

As for our guys, I was pleased. I was expecting a right tonking to be fair, but they did pretty good against a team (and fans) desperate for revenge. Amazing really that King, Woody and Hutton i thought were superb, yet we shipped 4 goals. Chimbo is the weak link obviously (he really is the most one footed player I think I've ever seen), but its hard to blame all 4 goals on him. It was just one of those games. Yet again.

I am absolutely baffled at how Robbo has been given any blame.

He made a great save, and a goal was not given ebcause cole was offside.
Their second goal, Drogba was offside, but doubt Chimbonda would have got there anyway, as he seems to be pretty useless at defending from the LB birth at the moment.

Ref was aweful.

Joe Cole should have been given a free kick by chombonda and had every right to complain about that.

He got the Hudd's Dive right though.

Cole should have been sent off.

Mido was sent off for a tackle exactly like Makele at the weekend just gone, not even a booking.

I did feel that Chelsea got the majority of the decisions, but it might be because I'm biased.

Good fight back, next year could see 6 teams challenging for the top four positions.

And as for Drogba... I think he's got a serious illness.

Could it be narcolepsy? That's when people suddenly fall asleep. I was thinking it could explain why he falls to the ground so many times.

Robbie Keane says we have someone with great delivery from set pieces - although he doesn't say who it is . Watch his interview with the BBC. After seeing Keane and Hudd fail to clear the first defender with consecutive corners I'm guessing it's not either of them?

No, the mugs went with United v. Bolton.

In all fairness our match was re-arranged from the CCFinal weekend but I have a smugness thinking Sky went wrong again, could have piggybacked the match on another sky channel a la Champ's league.

The was going to be a bit of grudgeness and something to prove here.

I saw the extended highlights on sky at 10pm after again listening to Parry & Gray waffling thru the Man U game, they really are muppets.

If we'd had Grant and they'd had Ramos tonight, they would have won b 7 or 8.

Chelsea's recent form is all down to the players, the press tell Grant who to pick, they play, they cost alot, and therefore they are better than most players, they tend to win.

Our recent form has a lot to do with Ramos, Jol was a good manager, but Juande seems to be Mourinho-like in bold team selection and early, positive substitutions, he has that extra "je ne sais quoi" and we ned to continue these performances into next season.

Or as Ramos would say ... ( I think)

Get over yourself

It was a bad miss, go and watch it again. When you're standing on the penalty spot with no defenders around you and the keeper is rooted to the spot and off his line, in the last minute of the game, you stay calm and you slot the ball into the bottom corner across the goalkeeper. You do not scoop it to exactly the keeper's hand-height with the ball heading for the upper middle of the goal. It was the worst possible placement of a shot.

The guy is apparently some kind of deity, he should be expected to score in that position. It was a decent save, no doubt, but he shouldn't have been allowed to make it in the first place.

I would genuinely be extremely disappointed not to score myself if in the same situation.

Having watched it again, I tend to agree. He had a lot more time than I first thought. Good save by Cudicini, but Berba made it easier for him than he should have done—just three-four feet either side and that would have been game to us.

If that had been Bent, would people have been so forgiving?

Berba's miss reminded me a lot of the Arsenal miss when we were 2-0 in the CCSFSL. I thought then that he should have Besiktased the 'keeper. I thought he should have done the same last night - or at least sold him a dummy and just rolled it past him. Ah well, it's quite ungrateful really, and it would have been an absolutely awesome end to Chelsea's League season. As it is I think we've fucked them anyway, but it could have been more glorious.

But I think on the balance of play I'm just being greedy.

Berba missed a great chance to win it but Cudiccini wasn't without luck, if you watch the close up slomo of it the ball literally hits the undernneath of his arm amd squirms past the post, 1 inch lower and it was in.

Personally I'm not going to slaughter Berba for it as we've missed far worse this season and players however good they are will always miss chances. Overall I thought that Berbatov was magnificent last night, he took on Terry & Carvallho all night in every department of the game and he won the battle not just against 1 of them but he won the battle with both of them. I thought that was a superb display.

Bent wouldn't have been there, he would've ran off towards the corner flag or something.

Only messing

I've watched the chance again, and in a more sober state than last night think it was a bit of a bad miss but seeing as he helped drag us back into the game from 3-1 down, I can't say anything bad about Berbatov cause he's still a class act.

Definitely not slaughtering Berbatov for the miss, but as '57 points out, if it was Bent we would've had another plague of 'Bent is shit' threads...

Do you reckon he could have squared it to Bent, Bobbert?

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying could he have squared it to Bent?

I've watched a couple of times, and Bent looks as though he's got a relatively simple finish. It's unexpected for a forward to square it in that position, especially as the keeper had set himself. It was just a thought ...

Also I would like to add on this thread that in yesterdays game, Keane was worst than Jenas in the first half.

Watch the first half again if you do not agree with the above statement.

Yeah actually, I've gone and watched it yet again and hadn't quite noticed that. He definitely could've, and I would've bet Bent to score.

I can understand why he didn't, but it was actually an option.
