I'm guessing all the shops directly fronting the street will need to be cleared as structurally sound before they allow any pedestrians or cars back up the road, it might only take a few days to do the examinations, but if one of the buildings fails a structural inspection tomorrow evening and the game had to be called off then people would be a lot more angry than they are now, at least by making an early decision it stops the uncertainty and gives people time to make other arrangements.

It is annoying and maybe in hindsight just moving it to lunchtime on either the Saturday or Sunday would have been enough, but in the grand scheme of things it's not really a big deal that a match is postponed.

I wonder whether I can reclaim the cost of my train ticket from the met or one of the compensation funds set up.

thanks for the pics.. It makes sad viewings tho. .

This game HAD to be called off, unfortunately, we - and the club - will pay for destruction caused..

Its not a nice area, hasn't been for years. The one thing nice about Tottenham, is the football club. That's our team, our Spurs, and now we miss out for whatever reasons people may be putting forward.

Everton now start at home, and we start away... And not an easy away.

In the light of everything tho, seeing those people praying, the loss of homes, the fear, the realisation and everything else. Its all just so pointless.
