Good substitutions from Pochettino.

Impressed by Fulham. Rare you see us getting beaten on possession for long periods.
Mate we were beaten on possession for about 15 mins in the second half. We had 60% possession today. Exactly the same as against Newcastle, and above par for us.

I actually wasn't that impressed and think they will have a tough season. We should of been well ahead before they scored, and in the second half as well. Both Lucas and Kane could have had hat tricks and Dele could of had a few as well. I think the fact they got back into the game in the second half clouds the fact they were very pedestrian for most the game, 3 shots on target to our 11.

I wasn't all that impressed with them against Palace either, a lot of possession but rarely going somewhere and leaving massive spaces at the back. I think they will stay up, but I think there is much more hype around this Fulham side than is justified.

Thought Kane was very slow but he still scored and hit the crossbar. Toby played the game at walking pace but was still effective. Several of our players seemed to be a bit jaded and their radar seemed a bit off. Still a deserved and comfortable win and lots of improvement in us.

This is why I stick to my opinion about not playing 3 at the back at home against teams like Fulham. As soon as we reverted to 4, we destroyed them. We needed that extra midfielder in Dembele to actually take back control over the game.

We played 3 at the back in the 2016/17 season and that produced our best football we've ever played in the Prem

Jeff Stelling after Kane's interview: "One thing the interview didn't ask him was, who the hell is Coco...?" :ROFLMAO:

I thought he did quite well in the first half tbh, good build up, constantly picking out Trips. Was taking people on again as well. I thought he was solid throughout and more and more looking his old self.

Fantastic subs from Poch, nice and early for once as well. Good 3 goals, Kane finally gets one in August.

Brucie bonus is West “challenging for a European place” Spam being rock bottom and Arsenal, Everton, Chelsea and ManU 4 of their next 5 in the league :):)

He made them early for once. Very welcome. He made the right decisions today to change the formation.
It did make a nice change. Always felt that poch wasn't reactive enough with his subs and tactical changes, hopefully he has changed for the better in this regard.

3 CBs is fashionable at the moment.

Yeh the bloke has been very overhyped. The reality is he is a very good teenager, but not yet a world beater. Also stylistically sessengon is more effective than exciting. He has good technique, makes good decisions and is very composed in crucial moments but is not gonna take players on all that often. Thing is I'm really not convinced he is a winger, I'd like to see him play behind the striker as his career develops.
Same thing could be said for Bale; look how well he did. Sessengon has got pace and did gave our defence some problems. JOnly he did it in spurts, and disappears for long spells.

I think they needed a warmup for the game next week.

Funny that Trips had to score a World Cup screamer for his free kick/dead ball delivery to be noticed. You'd think if he's that good in training Poch would've given him the nod a lot sooner.

I said the same to the guy next to me in the match. Actually disappointing that Poch didn't spot it really and it took Southgate to realise it.

I thought that was an excellent early-season performance today. and really showed the benefits of an integrated, experienced set of players who are so used to playing with one another. That's essentially how Fergie did it for so many years.
