Match: _____ Champions League (CL) - Group B - Round 5

When: _____ Wednesday 28th November 2018

Where: _____ Wembley Stadium

Kick Off: _____ 8:00 pm

Referee: _____ Cuneyt Cakir ___ (Turkey)

Team Form: _____ Spurs WWWWW Inter WWDLW ___ (All Competitions)

We have won both of our previous home matches against Interazionale, 3-1 in the 2010-11 CL, and 3-0 in the 2012-13 Europa League. Inter have never kept a clean sheet in their 5 previous meetings with us in all competitions, though they have only failed to score once (W3 D0 L2). The home side has won all 5 previous meetings between us (2 for us and 3 for inter).

Defeat for us will see us eliminated from the CL. We have lost two of our last three home games in the competition. 6 of our 7 CL goals this season have been scored in the second half of the games.

This will be Inter-Milan's first competitive match at Wembley Stadium. 3 of Inter's 5 CL goals this season have been scored in the 85th minute or later, including both against us on Match day one. If Inter avoids defeat they will be in the knockout stages of the CL. They have only gone out at the group stages in 1 of their 11 campaigns in the competition (2003-04) .

Kane has scored 13 goals and assisted a further 2 in his 14 CL appearances. Has scored 26% of our total goals in the competition (13/50). Son Heung-min has played more CL games than any other of our players (17). He has scored in his last 4 games in the competition. He has never gone five consecutive games without a goal for us.

Inter's Mauro Icardi has scored in 5 of his last 6 matches in European Competition (5 in total), including in 3 of his 4 CL matches.

I am not going to try and pronounce the refere's name.
.
Other than that - It's a CL matchday and a thumping win against Inter Milan is mandatory.

I'm not a huge fan of Cakir as a referee but it shouldn't matter today.
We need 3 points and I believe in our team.

Confidence will be sky high after the Chelsea match and it felt like a bit of a turning point this weekend.

I'm certain Inter will play very defensively which I believe will suit us when playing at Wembley. Biggest question mark is wether we rotate players and if so how that effects the team.

This feels like it could be a few years ago when we beat the scum with a really good performance, then had a EL game against Inter and won 3-0 with another great performance. The crowd was excellent that night and it made the atmosphere brilliant.

I feel something similar could happen tonight.

Am I right in saying that we have to better their 2-1 win to go above them? So 1-0 would be enough because of the away goal?
It would make a 1st goal so important

What are the variables on this?
If we draw can we still go through
by beating Barcelona?

Silly really,
Must be easier to beat Inter.
Just hedging.

We win, we go level with inter on 7 points. They then play psv at home in the last game, you can only assume they will win that. Meaning we have to beat Barca at Barca.

If we draw, we're out. We could only match Inter's 8 points and even if they lost and we won our respective last games we'd be below them due to results between the teams.

Barcelona have lost one home game in a last 12 months.

So they're not invincible then.

if we're going down
I hope we go down fighting.

Trust me, Barcelona are very beatable at the moment. We do have the style to win there by pressing high up the pitch.
Dont forget they're qualified top and need to win league games as well, so will rest players (possibly Messi included).

It's very much on if we win tonight. Of course we have to do that part first though.
I wouldn't even be shocked if PSV got a draw at Inter either. They wont just lie down. Pressure will be on Inter, PSV would play with freedom.

It is not over yet!
