Saw this at the time during the game and thought it looked handball and thought it was reviewed. Quite clearly not, or if it was decided against doing anything about

Couldn’t have been outside as Steve Mcmanaman
said it wasn’t (without a replay) & he is as unbiased as they come (especially where liverpool are concerned) !!!

It was a 'same shit, different day' performance. First half was kind of OK but we fucked up and conceded right at the end. Second half was a cluster fuck from the kick off. Not only were the substitutions weird, yet again Mourinho put Winks in front of the CBs and had Hojbjerg chasing around. That has never worked FFS!! We did need another CM to get a grip in that area, but then he shoves Ndombele out on the left wing pretty much and we're even worse than we were before. Kane goes off and he puts Lamela on and we proceed to lump the ball up the pitch where none of our players are. I think from now on I'll only watch the first 45 minutes of our games because it's the same every time now - 1st half OK, 2nd half complete shit show.

Thats what I saw too, an even first half. However it seems some people dont like ths opinion and only their blinkered one should count.

Don’t think this is controversial opinion at all. We were always going to setup to contain and counter and we did that relatively well for 30-35mins. After that we went to total shit though.

Yep. Loved how he ripped Son or forget who it was for diving midway through the first half, yet never mentioned anything when Firmino did it twice in the first 5 minutes

Yeah not quite, the angle posted is inconclusive

Not sure how you can tell that the whole of the ball is over the line from that angle.
You know if it as the other way round there would be a 5 minute VAR review, it would dominate the pundits half time programme and also be in the papers the next day and Atkinson would be getting threats on twitter from Liverpool fans. Why did we not make a bigger meal of it?

this really does annoy me. I don’t think it would have changed the result. But there is something even more stinky about VAR. When you see this. I called it straight away. So they must have seen it. So why not call it?? It just makes “points shaving” even easier.

Just going over this and when we came out for the second half with Winks I figured that would allow Ndombele to play further forward behind the strikers. Then I thought why the hell didn't we do that in the first half when Kane was on the pitch?
Then I went to bed.

Liverpool historically have had a Hatchett man that his prime job is or was take out the main threat by whatever means needed.
You can go back to the days of Tommy Smith who kicked anything that moved . The most famous case is our league cup final against Liverpool when Hoddle was injured almost from the kick off and he was unable to function properly .
Dirty gits and always will be . It would be interesting to know how many fouls Thiago committed as he seems to be a player that somehow plays on the edge but does not get red cards . The rule of consistent fouling leading to a yellow card seems to no longer exist at least where some clubs players are concerned .

I’m remembering the 1982 League Cup Final when Tony Galvin was running rings around Phil Neal. Souness was put on him and raked his studs down his leg.....Galvin off problem solved. I was so thrilled to see our ribbons tied on the cup with only about 3-4 minutes to go ,then the equaliser and a 3-1 loss in extra time.
Agree about them having hatchet men who hone in on any player who is causing the most danger.
