Great first half against pool
Alli best I have seen him for a long time.
Winks nearly as good as Skipp.
NDombele I think he needs to be subbed to regain possession second half
Sess good going forward
We could have been in the lead but I think we are lucky not to give away a penalty.

This is a game we cannot sit deep second half cos scouse are to good up front.

Game could go anyway but I think Liverpool are to good.
Prove me wrong Spurs.

As good a half as we could have hoped for.

Kane and son despite the poor touches look far more dangerous in a two.

The midfield trio is working hard. Winks has been the pick but both dele and n'dombele have put shifts in aswell.

Sessengon has been a lot better than Emerson and the latter is worrying me, especially now he is on a yellow.

I hope we can get something here. Still a massive ask but that was a promising first half.

From a tactical perspective, I feel very very optimistic with Conte.

We've been compact but when we break we break with purpose and lots of good movement etc.

It's just the quality at times that has let us down.

We’ll that’s the best we’ve played since forever! If we’d had our shooting boots in(Son especially) we could have scored 4 in that half. Some good performances out there but Winks has been a dynamo in midfield. Need to keep up this intensity in the 2nd half

Liverpool are so susceptible to couunters cous their wingbacks are basically wide strikers, it is insanely hard to counter so we need to put away our chances.

quite impressive how they can play with Robertson and Arnold in EVERY match and noone seem to counter them that well,
Having VVD is a major factor in that, he’s immense.

Let’s be honest, before the match, you would have bitten your arm off for this score and performance at half time.

Scoring is a funny old game.
The best players score on unconscious instinct.
Those out of form have a micro-second flash thought (before their touch) of consequences and ramifications.

That micro-second is the difference between an average season and a BRILLIANT one.

If we don't get a red maybe we can draw. They will probably punish us more for missing those chances, that's what top teams do. Hope Loris can continue playing like he did in first half.

Heart is still thumping - this isn't for the faint hearted is it?!?!?!

Always more nervous when watching at home.

Come on Conte let's see what you are made of. A few tweaks.

Feels a bit mourihno esc but given the covid and team I don't blame him

From circa minutes 5 - 35 that was pretty good. Intense, disciplined, organised, and tactically canny. Working hard across the pitch, snapping at them and disrupting the play, and then getting in on the counter.

Around the half hour mark though was when we couldn't sustain it any longer and things started to unwind. It's inevitable considering how much work they had to do, but particularly Ndombele and Alli couldn't run any longer (and I think Alli's head as dropped after that chance as well tbh), weren't shutting down, weren't back in making the midfield line, and gaps and overloads started to emerge in pretty much constant fashion and we just about held on till the break.

We've had some great chances to go 2-0 up, but it's gone. We could also have gone behind quite easily at the end there. We've also had a bit of luck it has to be said, with the Kane tackle and then the penalty shout..... It's all happened but we need to dust ourselves down, find a second (and third, and fourth...) wind and regroup/organise because after a great effort we were on the ropes there.

Was it an awful miss by dele or a world class save? Don't think you can have both

Much better than I was expecting. Shame we couldn't take one of those chances. We are struggling to cope with their excellent movement in wide positions, especially on the right where Royal's head looks completely scrambled up against Mane.

Winks needs to be sold in Jan. he’s either trying to pas through someone’s legs, taking extra touches or is just too slow in possession. Yeh he’s made a few decent hoofs forward but it’s only a matter of time he gives a goal away with how slow he is.
I’m not a fan of his but he’s playing quite good today tbf

One way traffic since the equalizer we’ve been getting battered yet we are still drawing. Conte can earn his corn here and throw in a masterclass for the second half.
