Just home from game now. Other than the fact the day has cost me probably £130+ I cannot believe the situation we are in and how far we have fallen. I never thought I’d see the day that fans were actually booing Kane but wow the atmosphere was toxic from the Moura sub onwards.

As others have said only Romero, Royal and Son come out with any credit really - at least they worked hard and tried. Not sure I can even blame Nuno for this mess - he inherited a nightmare and doesn’t have the experience or know how to even begin to fix it. The club feels toxic on every level now and it’s heartbreaking given where we were only three years ago.

I think there are times when the players don't just lose confidence with the manager but with the club hierarchy. When they sense that the club aren't going anywhere because the decision makers are idiots then they lose that fire, because there's just no point, whatever you do on the pitch is going to be torn down by the idiots in the board room. Also, the players aren't mugs, they knew Nuno wasn't the real deal from the moment he was announced. There was not one single player who thought to themselves 'yeh, he's going to build something really special here,' they would have all been having sly conversations between themselves about what a joke it was and how he was a stop gap. If you know your boss is a jumped up supply teacher then are you really going to bust a b****ck for him? Are you going to take his advice? Are you going to risk your career going in for a risky challenge? Are you going to risk concussion by sticking your head where it hurts? Are you going to risk doing your hamstring to sprint for a loose ball? Human psychology says no. The players that know that Nuno is a short term appointment and they also don't believe that Levy knows what he's doing.

There needs to be a hard reset. Levy's authority is hanging by a thread.
Completely correct. Exactly this.

We're in the shit, from top to bottom. Fans included. Because as long as we keep showing up, buying kits, buying tickets, going on stadium tours etc, we're funding the shambles.

The first team is atrocious. How some believe we 'won' this summer by keeping hold of Kane is beyond me. He's checked out - and he won't mind the fans turning because it will help his case to leave. The recruitment in general has been poor for years now: we got lucky with a few (i.e. Son, Dele) but we've wasted an awful lot of money on some utter tripe, going all the way back to the Bale money.

The club needs gutting.

We could have done that in the summer. We could have sold some big names/ wages, got Ten Haag in, got some hungry young players, and started a proper rebuild. With direction. Style. Purpose.

This, whatever it is we're watching / enduring now, is going nowhere. That's obvious. I also don't see how Poch returning will change anything, because the rot set in while he was at the helm - long before the Champions League final.

Simply. We're fucked.
Never on this site, have I read a better comment

I have lost all respect for Kane. He is either an utterly useless player or he is not trying. Since we know he has ability it has to be the latter. Total disgrace. I hope this sulking, dishonest fraud is out of our club as soon as possible.
He shouldn’t be here anymore. We have to move on and Levy didn’t do it.

Agree with all you say but I love coming to watch my team, I can not stop that so will not take responsibility for spending my hard earned money to watch Spurs and taking any blame.
Life is better or for worse, as fas as Spurs are concerned, we come under the latter.

I totally get that. Unfortunately, so does the club. They know fans will continue to go and invest their time and money in the club, come rain or shine. They 'have us by the balls' (as someone posted earlier) - and things won't change until it starts to hit their income, financials and (possibly) ego.

Credit to the fans who continue to go though. I'm not that strong.

They always say, to make an impact you should be concise and try to fit everything you have to say into less than a minute. Why is it then that I couldn't even make it through a 1 minute and 23 second interview with this guy? I seriously had to turn it off after about 40 seconds through boredom. It was pretty deep-set by that time too.

Listen, I hate to see anyone being bullied, or unfairly treated as the next man, but I'm just being frankly honest on this occasion. I'm not even sure he's the 'nice guy' I thought he was when he first came in, just largely uninspiring and pretty dull. I'm not even slagging him down either, if he was a mate of mine I'd tell him to his face.

He has to go, now. Levy has a small chance of redemption if he bites the bullet before Thursday. If Nuno is still here (and looks to stay for the meantime) then Levy is done in my eyes. Shame, as I've been an ambassador of his for a long time now, but he's fast showing - as someone else a few pages back put it so well (apologies for not going back to find the quote), he is not really Spurs, after all.

The apathy is strong here, and I've never felt like that before. The Sugar days, Chelsea's 3 point lane, Chelsea's windfall, City's windfall, Arsenal's invincibles, Berbatov to Utd., Modric's sale, Bale's sale, all kept me on side and always looking forward to better days, but there's something about this club at the moment that's telling me I just don't care as much anymore. Its bollocks, I do care, and always will, otherwise I wouldn't care that I don't care (fucking hope someone understood what I meant there), but I don't fancy 'not caring' any more than I currently do, or don't, I've lost track at this point. You know if you know.

Just please, Levy, show some fucking ambition for once.

(More than a minute too. FFS).

Love you Spurs. Hate you Spurs.

I was watching the England v Australia game and as opposed to celebrating us absolutely destroying them all I was thinking about was that the game was going to finish an hour early meaning I’d have to put our ‘game’ on.
How wrong is that? I’m 47 and even through the 90’s and naughties I’ve never felt so removed from the club.
I’m feel the same way. Back then we were just rubbish because the owners didn’t know what they were doing. Now they do and don’t care which makes it all pointless. If we never win another game but the stadium makes money, ENIC will be happy.

My God what the fuck have I just watched tonight. I'll tell you what I haven't watched. Not one fucking shot on goal the whole match. I can't remember ever being able to say that in all my years watching Tottenham. (Maybe there was one but my head's all over the place right now).

Right now, I'm so angry and disillusioned I'm feeling completely numb. It's almost as if I didn't give a shit, things are so bad. I'm telling everyone now, that if we don't get our arses into gear and fucking quick, we're going to be dragged into a relegation struggle. That 90+ minutes was yet another 'tough watch'. Who do I blame for that shower of shit? I wouldn't even know where to start. You blame Levy and ENIC and Nuno and Fabio and all the players get off scot free. Maybe getting relegated is when we hit rock bottom and when everyone realises what kind of desperate situation we've gotten ourselves into. Fuck sake, I'm rambling bollocks now. Anyone got a dog I can kick? (joking of course..)

This to be honest, nothing other than a United win, saving Ole’s skin, how many times have we played a top team on a shit run and for them to bounce back against us.
It’s so shit, I’m kinda not even bothered about it these days
I hate to say I told you, but that was embarrassing ?

You speak for all of us mate. We all share the pain.

Look on the bright side, at least England smashed the Aussies up in the T20 cricket.

What do you mean by shots on goal, we had shots on goal unless you mean shots on target which comes down to our strikers missing the horses arse with a banjo.

I'm not into knee-jerking, which seems to be the fashion these days, and I was fine with Nuno - even pleased. But fuck me this is really turning toxic real quick.

I am praying the decisive, ruthless Daniel Levy of yesteryear returns and sacks Nuno in the morning.

That's not because I want it to happen, it's because it HAS to happen and it will happen - so just do it sooner rather than later.

I've just mentioned it in another thread, and you could pick out any one of the players today for isolated bits of play, but go and watch Hojbjerg for the second goal. When everything starts he is basically beside Cavani, but when we give the ball away what do you reckon his reaction is... Run back and do his job? Nah. What he does is fucking petulant beyond belief, he just drops his head and stands there moping about. Cavani is gone off into the distance before he even thinks about trotting back. If he'd reacted properly and done his job instead of like a kid then quite possibly that goal doesn't happen.

I pick it out because the guy is widely considered as one of the senior pro's/leaders/warriors, etc..... now there might be many things wrong with the club, but if that's the reaction you're going to get from your senior guys then we've got no chance and the rot really has set in deep.
