Maybe I'm just ingrained it in but if we kept pushing we would have been picked off. Still got the Bournemouth game in my mind and so will the players
You cant approach games like that. If you have a team on the ropes, which we did that half, then you finish them off. You're far more likely to concede dropping deep and letting them play around the edge of your goal area.
Hopefully that'll come.

I would suggest we are all mildly pleased - some may surprised - at tonight’s outcome?
let’s not forget the ‘woe is us’ feeling we had after the weekend

In terms of effort this reminded me of when i used to enjoy watching us play.

We still have some of the worst defenders and midfielders in the league though.

It's been said before but when the ball is passed back to Forster I feel so much calmer.

I did think toward the end of the game that I couldn’t recall one time where he simply chipped it out of play when trying to pass to a wing back…

We are like AJ right now. Lacking in total confidence so haven't got the ability to KO opponents

Special mention for Skipp. Rolled up his sleeves and showed heart and a willing to dig in and get about the pitch.

To be honest I'd have written this exactly the same at 2-0, but it was a pretty even game really. Just eventually we did manage to put the ball in the back of the net and make it more of a reflection of how the match went. Fairly open, not great quality, a bucketload of chances at both ends (we maybe even shaded that eventually). It could have been something like 5-5 in all truth.

I don't think there was a lot wrong with the effort. It was pretty disorganised, low quality, and there are a plethora of deficiencies out there, we all know that, but at no point could you say we weren't putting a shift in. At times a bit horribly passive, but at other times we did squeeze and get at them. Till the end of the season that's what we need, for them to keep going, and tonight they passed that test.

Was a bit annoying that we seemed to die a death and get way too passive in the late stages. Maybe it took it out of us to push for the equaliser, I don't know. Part of the problem was that we did lose our thrust down the flanks and switches of play was having joy. But tbf to Mason we got the equaliser after one batch of subs, and he needed to do something to shore up the right flank at the end because three times in as many minutes prior to that they just waltzed into dangerous positions down that side with our defence completely disorganised and no one filling in.

A battling point, could have been more, could have been less. 5 more to go until we put this season out of its misery. And at least we created more potential goalscoring moments tonight than in a month of ****eBall, so there is that.......

Night and day from Sunday to this. I do think if Ryan was in charge after Conte that we would take 4th
Agree on the first sentence. But not so sure about the second. Personally don't think Mason would be so enterprising in changes without seeing how toxic it has become with Stellini being so similar to Conte.

I was ready to throw the Tele out the window at half time. Second half though was much better. More fight, quicker to the ball, aggressive. We got our pride back

Ryan masons blue & white army !

Oh I get that for sure, just felt we looked more comfortable and less likely to concede while we were on the attack.
Yeah I get that but to those players, this will feel like a win. Actually quite proud of them Tonight, showed proper balls of steel

I can’t believe some people are saying a point is worthless “for champions league qualification” if you honestly thought we had any chance of qualification for top four even before a ball was kicked tonight then I don’t know what to tell you tbh.

Much better effort, especially 2nd half. But that was the least we could expect to be fair.

Glaring collective and individual problems were there for all to see still. But they did show at least a bit about themselves fighting back 2nd half. Actually felt had we been a bit braver after Sonny scored the leveller, we could well have won it.
