for some reason this hurts more than the previous 7.

After 20 mins I thought, we're up for this, we're going to do this. The equaliser sucked the life out of the team. Its a mentality thing. we have no inner belief, we have no balls to dig it out when things go against us.

Wouldnt surprise me tbh, unless we change the wage structure he's probably taken us as far as he can. Every season is the same, lose a player, sign more young players and try and get top 4, rinse and repeat.

Agreed, I can see Poch walking in the summer unless he is seriously backed with funds and wages.
How Levy can charge the prices he is with new season tickets and expect to still not change, he cant expect Poch to hang around
His comments tonight were clear to me that he is considering his tenure at spurs

Just saw Alli's interview. He's absolutely spot on. We need to be winning these games when we go 1-0 up and we need to be having much more of a go when we go down. I wouldn't be surprised if he starts to itch for a move in the next year.
But he also didn't mention how anonymous he was during the game.

I think I could live with moany matchday threads for 2x seasons if we won the League Cup, the Europa League and reached an FA Cup final in that period.
I'm not necessarily disagreeing - for me a major trophy was a real pre requisite this season for both the development of the team and Poch.

Love the guy but he's still the man with a big ? next to his name when it comes to winning Cups but then the conditions would never be right for someone like Mourinho in this club either.

Is it time for a squad refresh or do we persevere again? Really not sure...

Especially when he pays himself silly money.

You know what? If he'd bring his ability to win trophies with him, I'd swap in a heartbeat.

Funny thing about Jose is, he'll only inflict his 'winning mentality' on teams with a huge pot of money, so as much as you may be willing to swap he'd never have the balls to come here.

(Thank god)

I thought he was better than most and he was dropping team to pick up the ball and try start something.

I thought Son was the wrong choice today, Lamela may have kept United's backline a little more 'rushed' with his press, whereas Sonny kept standing still and not anticipating the pass.

We have the players to win a league cup or FA Cup. We aren't exactly paupers are we?
Clearly we dont.
And compared to Man City, Man U and Chelsea, Liverpool, christ even Arsenal when you look at their transfer fees and wages, then yes, we are paupers.

The very purpose of the new stadium is to allow us to pay top wages without changing the structure. Until very recently Levy was holding wages at 60% of turnover, so I assume that's what he deems to be an appropriate level. 60% of £400m is a lot more than what we've had to play with in the past.

Perhaps if our Chairman was on the same results orientated bonus as the players we'd be making more progress.

The club is on the verge of becoming the new Woolwich without the silverware, just so long as we make the CL qualification fuck all else matters.

Son was shocking just as bad as last year except then he played left back WTF but honestly no one stood out dembele was just dembele ran forward then stopped and went nowhere only sideways as always predictable and tedious.

I think Poch has to change something, if he keeps playing the same way and coming up short he needs to evolve. I don't think we've pressed this year out of possession like we have last and that makes a big difference.

Oh yeah, completely agree that we couldn't offer Mourinho what he needs to build a winning team, all I'm saying is that I'd have no problem in a hypothetical world where a coach could come to us, and play dour, boring football (and spending a ton to do so) if it came hand in hand with a Man Utd-esque trophy haul.

I'm not a purist; I want Spurs to win things at almost all costs.

The additional revenue means nothing given the size of the repayments of the loans to build the place. If you think i am kidding then look at Woolwich who have financed their signings from CL, TV and player sales, fuck all to do with the size of their new stadium.
