We were second best in the day Utd were better no excuses we bottle it in the cauldron of expectation every time 8 semi-final defeats is a fucking joke.
Mourhino and his players rocked up today expecting to win the pundits all expect the same, we on the other hand hoped to win and that is the difference in the mentality.
We can beat these teams occasionally but when the real pressure is on we wilt and die in the expectation of success, poch has gone closer than anyone in recent times but the weak mentality is still prevalent as proven last year today and the previous other 6 semi-finals.

Sometimes I really think we're just an over-performing bunch of talented youngsters on their way to better things...

I think we are officially the new A*****l, CL is all Danny boy is bothered about, keep the cash rollin in!!!
We wont keep on defying the odds and qualifying for the CL, as good as Poch is.

Time for the board to have a serious look at themselves before it all falls apart.

It’s very hard playing against Mourhino’s anti-football. He is successful because he will get his teams to do anything to win. His teams have never been about playing football. Nick a goal and then defend with the whole team whilst continually wasting time feigning injuries. The pundits love it apparently as they never mention it.
It's especially hard when you have only nine outfield players and the referee gives so many decisions to the opposition.

The fans are not turning lol, who we going to get if he goes....seriously.

We should have had Toby's contract rapped up at the end of last season when we were on a high.

Our owners wont speculate to accumilate and believe in the what Poch is doing.

Instead we will carry on investing in youth and as long as the fans keep turning up and spending money Levy is happy. and in 10 years time we will look back at this team/manager and think 'of what might have been' .
And in ten years time look back to see that fuck all has been won nothing will change.

I don't think it was anti-football. They did what they had to do and defended well, credit to them.

Disappointing to hear, frustrations boiling over I suppose.
Mate, it was really quite ugly, two guys attacking the police and loads of fans egging them on. From the exit of Wembley to the station I saw at least 4 separate fans arrested with more stuff kicking off. Worst of it was that it was Spurs fans on Spurs fans if not the police. Not cool.

Is that not professionalism? Showing up to the job? Symantics imo

Professionalism for me is not saying you want to leave on the middle of a title fight.

On the pitch is about raising your game and giving that extra 20% or at least playing to your level. If every player played to their level then we would have won.

Teams go through bad patches, we hit ours at a bad time. 3 home losses which eliminated us from 2 comps

This team, poch’s team, how far we have come, we deserve a trophy. But then again, when we perform like that in crunch games, we do not. Feeling like next season is going to be crunch time. A Step up? Or step back? God I hate supporting spurs sometimes. It’s so complicated. COYS!!

But they won't that's the problem the club are happy with being competitors but not winner's that's what separates us from the city and utds of this world.

But look at those teams - City have unlimited funds. United are associated with Busby Babes and the class of 91 but their model is the same as city - buy players at the peak of their trade for exorbitant amounts of money. Liverpool have tons of cash.

We are financially a mid table team but ahead of Chelsea and Arsenal due to clever on and off field management.

Having said that, this was a frustrating performance. It was so obvious that United were packing the box and the middle, and allowing us to have the ball in wide positions. Trippier and Davies only had Kane to aim at. There were too many players bereft of ideas and walking in deep positions waiting for Eriksen to do something. We really need to be tactically flexible.

True. But I'm not going to react kindly to accepting defeats in future based on being financially mid table when our season ticket prices are top of the league.

We aren't defying the odds anymore, we just have really good players. I'm pretty sure apart from the odd off season we will be regular CL qualifiers over the next decade or so.

Man Utd have to be the best at playing poor football but winning games. They have a way of sucking the good football out of teams like leaches. By God they get it done though in the big games. So many trophies won over the years makes them a juggernaut too big for aspiring teams like us to stop.

I honestly think the best chance we have to win a trophy is by winning the League. At least we don't have those big knock out games to contend with. Just win those games we keep drawing against the weaker teams and we have a chance.

Your probably right, leopards dont change there spots.

Which is why I cant wait for ENIC to sell the club to somebody with a pair of bollocks.
We live in hope and that is what brings me solace that ENIC will sell up soon as they can but I will thank them for bringing us this far that cannot be discounted.

Been a while since I heard that sort of thing happening. Not good.

There will be some sore heads and empty wallets for some tomorrow I suppose.

What a shit day all round.

Agree, it's always been about the reward from their investment, not about trophies.

Thats why they are willing to watch one of Europes top defenders walk away from the Club, even though he was willing to stay.
