Quite a lot may depend on the Carabao Cup games. It looks unlikely that all of the quarters will be played and so that could free up one or 2 dates in early Jan when the Rennes game could then be played although of course they have to then extend the 31 December Deadline. There is precedent for that as last year the deadline was extended to 31 January plus also by creating the Conference they have added more games to the calendar and so increased the risk of missing the 31 December deadline.

Whether UEFA think so sensibly is another matter!

Great news really is. Will give Conte more time on training ground with players and we're already seeing the huge benefits of that in last 2 games.

Fuck any of the other fans who try to "banter" us on this one, we will have a much better season in league because we've gone out and that's all I care about. We need to go balls deep for champions League and the extra revenue it brings and this will help that no end.
