By that logic did Moyes also plan to get a lucky bounce that came off the back heel of a Spurs player that couldn't have fallen kinder for Bowen, if he did then that's some Crystal ball like innovative and cunning forward planning....
It was clear tactic from them to push up really high on us when they could, forcing errors and being in positions to pounce when the ball got turned over. The signs were there in the first half but WH weren't gambling.

Ange isn’t to blame for the pace of Udogie’s back pass or a deflection of a post. It’s been a shit period, but people need to chill out. We battered them first half, but we just don’t have the quality in certain positions.

Except the first goal was clearly not a forced error....

The didn’t see the ball and kept chasing us for the first 45, nope not buying that. We’ve lasted longer with our press against way better opposition than today.

We lost because our attacking players were cumbersome, slowing down attacks, being predictable and making the wrong choices time and time again.
Yes but I'd argue a lot of that is down to lack of stamina and tired legs.

The shooting coaches need to take a long hard look at themselves too after villa and now this.

We badly need some players that can strike the ball with accuracy and good technique... We can't keep having more chances than the opposition and losing. It's not acceptable.

We even had high quality of chance too. Richarlison's header has to go in. Lo celso middle of the box has to score not hit it straight at the keeper. Johnson has to hit the ball harder with his chances even pass it hard into the corner.

Tired and faded badly 2nd half tonight Ward-Prowse and Bowen combined to kill us. Oh well no shame losing to the Champions of Europe...the Spammers are unfortunately a different animal than they use to be just do your best to steer clear of their fans if you can they will be unbearable.
There was no combination. The first goal was a fluky deflection, the second from a useless back pass and a bit of luck when it went straight back to Ward Prowse off the post,
We had luck when City didn’t bury us, none today.

Spot on. Too much pretty passing around the edge of the box. At some point you have to be direct. Kulu turning back on to his left foot should then de driving it across the box but instead 99% of the time he plays it back out to someone. This is only an example, not just picking on him. When we get in wide areas the full back needs to be attacked and a cross whipped in. Anyway, bloody frustrating

Indeed, Kulu cutting in only really leaves a ball in the air with Son up top, it's utterly ridiculous, switching him and Johnson over isn't compromising the philosophy either, yep very frustrating.

Id happily replace our entire forward line bar Son. Maybe keep Johnson and Kulu as backups. The fact that Johnson, Kulu, Richarlison and Gil have cost us about 150 million probably suggests it's less to do with not spending money and more to do with not spending it well.

In the first half? When we should have been 3-0 up? Ange needs to have a word with all our attacking players. Several times in the game Romero was the one looking for a pass through… too little movement and slowing down the play instead of faster incisive play and even taking the shots faster instead of a thousand intricate passes…

We were lucky to get a draw against MC and unlucky to lose this to WH. Both their goals have a big slice of luck. I'm fine results-wise.
However our front 3 don't work against a low block. Ange knows this. I think we (fans) need to be patient and hope that they will improve. They may or may not. A good offense is much harder to coach than a good defense which was why our previous managers chose the tried+tested counter-attacking style of football.
