Decent move

It will be interesting to see how he does. He will be playing at the same level as Parrott last year. Looks like Portsmouth will be playing 3-5-2 next season and inc Scarlett, now have 3 strikers on the books, though they have 2 wingers who have played as a striker in a two last season, but both were also played CM at times, when they played a 3 man CM.

Confirmed. Dane has gone to Portsmouth season long loan.

Kind of out of the blue that loan, I wonder who else is being worked on being moved out to gain experience. Pompey is a good destination for him and I’m glad he will be going to a club where he will have to work his way into the team and get some games. Portsmouth had a disappointing campaign last year and should have done better so he will have a bit of pressure to perform.

FT 7-0. We will play West Ham in the final tomorrow as they beat Crystal Palace 4-3.
That was the least likely 7-0 I think I’ve ever watched. Thought Kerala were excellent and outplayed us for long periods. Our strength in depth is clearly better, but we should be seriously looking at two or three of the Kerala players (I presume they were the same age as us).

What is with our pathological need to play the ball out from goal kicks etc? I mean, it literally seems like they’ve been told they’ll be booted out if they go long. On multiple occasions the goalkeeper would be looking to play it short to a defender who had two or three Keralan players near him. Kerala just pushed their forwards up even more which made it even more ludicrous.

Good game to watch though.

We play it out from the back at senior level too and it has given us some rocky moments. It’s a key part of the Conte formula though as it pulls the opposition team out and allows spaces to make the patterns of play he drills into the team. Makes sense for this to be consistent through the age groups so that players can adapt easier when they step up. While it may be a long shot that Conte will be here by the time some of the kids are ready for first team action, you’d at least hope that we’d be the place where he’d put in roots and you have to prepare that way because you are never going to know who is next anyway.

I thought Rio Kyerematen was our standout player yesterdaay. Dictated play really well, got up and down the pitch and looks quite a unit. Very impressed.

Jaden Williams showed a lot of variety to his game. He seemed to be constantly buzzing.

Jahziah Linton scored and made a fantastic tackle in our own box.

Max McKnight was very lively as well.

Could only watch the 1st hour of our match, but it was wonderful just being able to watch our lads again.

Still think people are sleeping on Williams he’s definitely my dark horse from this group. Physically I think he’s gonna be very Michail Antonio like and that’s a decent attribute to have. I quite like as well that he looks a bit unique physically, not something you can really put into words I think it’s his shoulders, but you can instantly recognise it’s him if you know him.

Yeah I totally get that, but seriously, at times it was just silly.

Is it safe to presume that the games are no more than an hour long tops?
