the problem is not these youngsters aren't good enough to get into professional league teams. Apart from Devine, Donley, Scarlett and Pekosi, the rest of them are league 2 standard and below.

Not sure the club has been trying too hard to find loans. We don’t really have much depth at U21 level and have struggled to cope with injuries and suspensions.

Fagan-Walcott, Lyons-Foster, John and Bowden, when fit again, could all, I think, make an impact in League One without further development. Others I am less certain about, though I could see someone taking a punt on Mundle. Santiago will probably end up back in Spain, which might suit him better. Cessay is an odd one with that Carlton-Palmeresque frame, but there’s something there. Craig, I’m not seeing what Conte seems to see, but he does the simple things well. Muir and Robson show quality in flashes but based on their current standing in the pecking order might struggle a bit to find EFL clubs.

Others are just not ready, Donley in particular is still struggling to find his scoring boots at U21 level.

White and Bowden have already have fairly successful loans to league clubs, so that’s blatantly not true. Lyons-Foster, Walcott, John, and others are on that same level.

U17s beat Norwich away 2-1 tonight and advance to the Quarter Finals of the U17 Premier League Cup. Damola Ajayi bagged one of the goals.

Danny Cowley on Dane Scarlett “I am telling you now, in 15 years of football, I don’t remember seeing a number nine defend as well as Dane did with that effort.

“It’s not just energy, not just intensity, his intelligence was so good, I am so pleased with him.

I told him in the lead up in the game, just keep being an honest kid, put the team first and football always repays those qualities.

“It’s an honest game is football and I was pleased with him because he so deserved to score that goal – and what a really good finish as well.

“He’s just a good kid, he has a steel about him which is beyond his years, mentally he’s incredibly tough and that’s why we know he is going to be the very, very best he can be.

“Whatever that will be, I have no doubt he will make the most of his natural talent.

That's an outrageously attacking line-up. Williams, Hall, Lankshear, Donley & Ajayi are all forwards.

FT 3-1 win. A good result against the team who were 2nd at the start of the day, especially away from home.

The red card would've helped but we were still winning at that point

To be fair it seems the majority of our talent at this age group is in attacking positions, so I don’t mind this at all haha

Hall now a CM albeit an attacking one. Donley has also been playing CM but Williams, Ajayi and Lankshear are all big out and out forwards.

18s results really picked up with Kyerematen back from injury and Donley and Lankshear dropping down whilst 21s have no games. If they can beat Norwich at home on Tuesday can go up to 2nd.

That West Ham side who I moaned about beating us 8-0 at Hotspur Way in the summer running away with it. They won 4-1 at Arsenal yesterday and have won every game.

Do you know if west ham just have a really good crop of players at this level or is it more their coaching is playing a big part as to why they are having such a good season so far?

I really don’t know. They got an Irish boy in the summer and he seems to score a couple every single game.
