In a week's time, just after next weeken's game we travel to Sydney and Malaysia for 2 games in a week.

its too soon for new players to join us (and usually their contracts with their former clubs will be to 30 June anyway). So who travels ?

Does Poch take some of the players who have hardly featured of late (eg Stambouli and Dembele) to maintain their transfer price ? Do we assume those who have not featured much since Christmas (eg Kaboul, Capoue) will not travel ?

Does he take some of the returning loanees on the trip ? Will we learn anything more as to who is being sold this TW ?

Assuming Poch takes 20-22 players for the 2 matches - who travels ?

The choices :

GK (3) - Lloris, Vorm, McGee

FB (5) - Walker , Yedlin, Rose, Davies, Fredericks

CB (7) - Kaboul, Vertonghen, Chiriches, Fazio, Dier, Veljkovic, Ball

CM (11) - Paulinho, Stambouli, Dembélé, Capoue, Mason , Bentaleb, Winks, Onomah, Alli, Ward, Carroll

AM (7) - Lennon,, Lamela, Townsend, Chadli, Eriksen, Pritchard, Oduwa

FWD (4) - Soldado, Adebayor, Kane, Coulthirst

Total 37

Most of the above have played or been on the bench, amongst the lesser known are :
- Dominic Ball - E u20 CB, has also played RB and CM,
- Grant Ward has played as a forward and CM almost a utility player,
- Nathan Oduwa is a forward, usually played on the left.

There are also a range of other youngsters (eg Connor Ogilvie (LB/CB), Kyle Walker-Peters (RB/LB) ) who Poch has seen and approved of who could travel as well as well

Is certainly going to be interesting who he takes. Archer and McEvoy are also options. But I suspect that as this is a promotional tour he will be under pressure to take the star names - whether they have a future at the club or not.

I believe 1st June is when new players can officially join and play for us, Alli being the main example.

The entire squad will go, save for possibly the outcasts like Capoue, Kaboul etc.

I'm hoping that a lot of the youngsters play but to be honest it doesn't really matter. These games are just for PR.

Kane should get no more than 20 mins here or there for keeping up appearances and then be allowed to rest a bit as he has the U21's to focus on.

Treat it like pre season. Take the star turns but play mostly youth/back up.

Do we have anyone else going to that, for England or another country?

Dier?

Squad still to be announced but as @Blake Griffin says we are likely to have 4 going, Kane, Pritchard, Carroll, Dier.

Problem, for Spurs is that E u21's will probably want the players at the start of June, tournament ends end June, after which the players really need 3 weeks rest - but because the FA have brought forward the start of the season to 8 August, Spurs and other PL clubs pre-season will probably start 1 July or 8 July, so those going to u21's will be 2 weeks off the pace at the start of the season.

Why waste the money on flight costs for those who haven't featured for half the season? Would rather have our Academy boys in their places so Poch could have some early looks at them.

can't see poch risking the kids in such important games. if he's feeling particularly bullish he might give yedlin 5 minutes(if we're winning by at least four clear goals).

Some might have to miss due to international tournament and fitness,
but this is a commercial trip to allow the home training in pre season.
Poch will be told to play those that the crowd will want to see.
They'll be very disappointed if Kane isn't there, can see a fight with the english FA coming up,
not only for the post season tour, but also that Kane and others might miss entire august like Paulinho did after the world cup

You would think that those who are close to a move, or fielding solid offers from other clubs, would have to stay at home.

We dont know who that is at this stage but when the squad is announced we'll get an idea of who will be the first few out the door if they are left out.

All the u21's are likely to miss a good deal of pre-season due to the FA bringing forward the start of the season by a week.

The u21 tournament lasts until 30 June, and I'm fully expecting the FA to call players up a for 1 June (a week after the season finishes - and the week Spurs are in Ausi/Malaysia). And after the u21 tournament the u21 players need a 3 week solid rest (there is no other time)., which is why they miss half the pre-season as the FA brought next season start to 8 August.

Nope, the FA have put themselves in a ridiculous situation by bringing forward the next season start, nothing Spurs can do about it.

I'm half expecting Poch to take a squad which miorrors his recent PL selections which is the he hard core of 10 players that he always selects if fit - Lloris, Rose, Walker, Vertonghen, Dier, Mason, Bentaleb, Chadli, Eriksen, Kane plus Vorm, Davies, Yedlin/Fredericks, Fazio, Lamela, Townsend and maybe Paulhino and Stambouli.

Plus youngsters Carroll, Pritchard, (only time Poch may see E u21's in pre-season) Alli and maybe a couple of others to make up the numbers.

I'm disappointed Oduwa isn't going to Asia with the seniors too. It really seems the club don't rate him.

Yes its surprising, from the little i have seen Oduwa looks the bigger talent than Onomah, but very limited bracket of games. I know Onomah has got rave reviews so some may find that dumb, but its what i have seen only.
