"by the end of the match Steffen Freund, prominent throughout in his capering managerial wingman role, could be seen pinching the cheeks of a junior Tottenham ballboy with such celebratory vigour that the ballboy was still rubbing them in discomfort as he walked down the tunnel a few minutes later"

Love Freund! I'm sure the ballboy will treasure the moment.

Yeah was just about to post that. Jd was going to take a throw and freund rushed over and punched the ball from defoe. I think jd was miffed for a sec until he realised.

Ah is that why the Freund song started late in the match? Quality. Hope Joe Hart was watching that moment, he was time wasting after 5 friggin minutes!

I might start a thread on it but the fans getting on harts back was instrumental in a couple of errors and his yellow card. Plus the support lifted the players ten fold.

Did anyone see at the end of 1st half on the tv the camera was showing players walking off and you saw freund randomly push one of the man city staff in the back out of nowhere haha. He was stood there and all of a sudden just pushed him in the back as he walked by. Mind games

haha Freund is epic!

Everytime we score, all I'm hoping for is that we see his celebration

His jumping about as Defoe scored was amazing, he was like Tigger on speed.

Becoming a Spurs legend is what Freunds do best!

I must say, I was outraged when he was given a HoF induction, I didn't like him as a player and there are far more deserving names missing from that list, but I'm beginning to realise that it was an induction given with foresight, it was prophetic for his impending time as Spurs assistant manager. If we ever lose AVB (please no), then I'm already thinking that Freund stepping up to the plate as manager would be the way forward. He's so passionate about us and he's full of character and has a real winning mentality, plus it would continue the system and style AVB is implementing.

Has a 'I Love Steffen Freund' chant been sung yet??

Every game.

I too channelled the spirit of Freund for our third goal and whilst my mate next to me was bundled by the bloke behind, I picked up* a small Norwegian child - to the delight of his Dad.

*picked up in a non-Jimmy Saville kind of way.
