Spent the weekend in Spain and met Stephen Carr a few times. Can I just say he is the nicest guy you could ever meet, a real gentleman! If only more pros were like him.

What did he say about his time at Spurs?

Absolutely fantastic player for us. There was a spell for us when their was no better attacking right back in the world

Wasn't he a left back though?

For some strange reason I thought (We all know what thought did!) he said full back. I've not seen a better full back than Carlos.

Attacking Right Back, umm?,

I would say Cafu was better right back at the time but Carr is the best right back I've seen at the lane in my time being a fan.

Carr was sitting right behind me with a bunch of other players at a Leyton Orient v Spurs friendly in 97 (our first glimpse of Ginola and Ferdinand in Spurs shirts I think) and enjoyed chatting to us. Nice man, very good player.

Maldini used to play left back. A bit out there, but Roberto Carlos was a bit overrated, imo. Philipp Lahm > Carlos by some margin for me

Carr is (probably) the best right-back I've seen in the prem.
