Not done anything particularly noteworthy but Doherty has looked much more like his Wolves self today.
A bit of perspective here. We are playing stoke who has not made any attacking runs on the left in the whole 45 minutes. Even I would look good!

Dele doing well against some heavy handed Stoke challenges. May well play himself into reckoning for the weekend.

Only Stoke of course but Dele showing his value against a low block with his movement.

Both Ndombele and GLC are far too static for me against these types of teams when they play in that 10 role - playing one of them deeper with Dele back behind/alongside Kane could be a solution.

decent so far. they are really bad though, so everything looks sharper than it really is. Bale still miles off being ready to play Premier League football. even ignoring his lack of sprinting, he has had several pass miscues, has no physicality or intensity in his actions. how the hell will a winger without burst create anything at the top level?

Messi probably watched that first half (before the Real Madrid match kicks off at 6:45pm) and is wondering what the big fuss is about a cold Wednesday night at Stoke?

This game feels more like a comedy, if we play like this, we would have been slaughtered by Leicester.

We are leading because because the other team sucks harder.

Honestly think this is closer to the truth than some other posts.
Its professional, its probably good enough, but i think mostly because stoke is super trash. Otherwise a lot not working as there is not a great understanding on the pitch.

Lets do the job and get some more goals.

Bale looking better but still miles off where he needs to be. Dele looks great so far. Deserves to at least be on the bench.

Attitude. It's all about attitude. The players look more focused and professional and if Stoke had threatened us there would have been more space for a counter attack. Because there hasn't been we are just controlling the game with the ball.

That first half performance against Leicester was all down to attitude. Players weren't showing for the ball, players weren't passing first time and weren't playing with a sense of 'getting back to it' - rather letting the Liverpool result linger.

I've watched the game back and the strategy was fine and if the players had have been in the right frame of mind we'd have won.

So refreshing to not see a Sissoko midfield. There seems more space for us to move the ball in the middle at ease. Can really do with less back passes.

Dele shoved that Stoke guy down after the corner for the hell of it. Always had a bit of nastiness about him when he was playing well.

2nd half of the first half was good, hope the 1st half of the second half will be good too, recently we have come out very slow in some games after half-time
