Stoke played really well and we beat them anyway. They closed down like mad and broke effectively and fought for everything in precisely the way they have failed to do in our past 3-4 matches against them. But we won anyway.

If Stoke had someone who could finish, they could have won this match. But if Son had got a penalty and finished his one-on-one, we could have been out of sight. Both sides missed chances. We played passably OK for much of the game, without really dominating it, but we even overcame a goalkeeping fuck-up and motivated, desperate opponents and won anyway.

You're a really good side when you have to dig in and you still win.
Had they played that well more often in the season, they wouldn't find themselves where they are now. It's probably too late now.

That Badou guy Stoke got in January was really impressive today, he tackled and harried brilliantly and apart from that tizz he and Rose got into in injury time he kept his cool well. He symbolised their team really, him and Joe Allen. Run around everywhere, harried us, denied us space and did a good job on us.

Fortunately we had that extra quality where and when it counted.

Do you think that our play has been more fluid without Kane?

I'm starting to get tired of Lloris. He seems like a nice guy, but he's the most error prone goalkeeper in the league along with Petr Cech. Begovic is close, but after that, no other goalkeeper is even close to do as many errors as Lloris.

Edit: Ye, rate disagree or whatever you want. But the stats are true wheter you like it or not.

What stats?

About ten games to go people start to look at the run in and no end of people post about teams at the bottom will be fighting for their lives and they will be hard games, six games to go and we play a team at the bottom fighting for their lives and people are surprised it's a hard game?
It's not a cliche, they really do fight like fuck to survive and Stoke did that today, we did well today, bloody well.

I don't think there was much he could have done about their goal today. Unfortunately the high line will mean conceding the odd goal like that. He might make a few errors but I can't think of many other keepers that would fit us better because of the fact we play the high line. Sweeper keepers are rare, and of the few around we have one of the best.

I’m happy we won but that was not a good performance. Danny Rose has become average and I wouldn’t be sad if we sold him. Salah didn’t play today and we played Stoke, disappointing that Kane didn’t score, he didn’t get much providence. Lucas should get more game time, every game he’s played he’s been good. Today we could’ve used him, our counter attacks was poor and instead Poch waits and takes on Sissoko and invites pressure. Anyways on the the next game
Sissoko did not bring on pressure. Poch goes to him because he can help close games out. Dier was the one who came on and created problems.

Errors leading to goals on the official Premier League site. The error he made today is not included yet.

His kicking has improved over the season. I think he could've taken the ball to the left. In the end, what puts pressure on us is lackadaisical play, like Dier did, and lack of clinical finishing.

To be fair to Hugo, if you had a guy the size of Diouf running full speed at you, you'd probably try to panic hoof it as well. Six inches to the left or right and it's a job well done.

I do. TBH he did very little yet again. I dare say, on current form, had he started against Chelski, the result might have been a whole lot different. I love Kane as much as the next supporter, but his form of late has been pretty average. Not having a dig, and I don't want him sold (just to clarify), but he is no longer the biggest threat we posses. On current form.

I don't know if I mentioned, that I'm commenting his current form. I think he is brilliant, but his current form is lacking of late, when you consider his current form. I wouldn't dream of selling him, but his current form, you know.

Oh, fuck it, just pour the dishwater on my head...

Pssst, Kane, I'm a huge fan (y)

Aurier is shite.

Dele clearly has quality but he needs to do more of the simple things better, stop falling over, stop cheating and move the ball much quicker.
You're talking utter rubbish. The second paragraph is even worse than the first sentence.
