Can't wait for this after the fucking shitty internationals

Will be a tough game but we finally have multiple options to try and change the game if needed. I just hope we start with a somewhat proactive 11. I'm not sure I want to see a front 6 of Dier, Wanyama, Eriksen, Alli, Lamela and Kane. I just feel we need a bit of freshness or a bit of a wildcard in there, whether it be the inclusion of Sissoko from the start or just Janssen.

If we're to perform as we have been so far then Janssen is a pure necessity for me regardless.

Lamela is unlikely to start as he will only have returned from Argentina yesterday(?). More likely to see Son start as he's been able to train with us all week. Sissoko will only have had 2 training session with us so I doubt he'll start. NKoudou may feature.

We'll need to raise our game from how we performed through August in order to win this, and with Kane looking so out of form/fatigued and Rose and Dembele missing, I'm not confident at all going into this.

Agree on Lamela, plus i think it would be a good game for Son to get back up to speed, hopefully plenty of opportunity to stretch their defence. Davies should be an ample deputy for Rose, might see Sissoko but not sure if Nkoudou will play yet - i have a feeling Poch might throw Winks or even Carroll into the mix.

Guess it depends how he has been in training, but Nkoudou has been training with us before he signed, so will have had extra time working with Pouch. Not sure if he was away the last week or not

I hope that we see some of the 'basic ingredients' to our style of play in this match. I've only seen the game against the two scouse clubs so far this season, but both of those were totally lacking in pressing, work rate etc and we lacked any sharpness.

Stoke 1-2 Spurs

Eriksen and Kane to score, just how it was every other game in 14-15 season

1-1, still weirdly not feeling any excitement about football at all yet this season. Not just Spurs either, totally not bothered. Think the Olympics has ruined football for me again!

Good point! Forgot he'd been training with us.
Anyone know how long he's been training with us - if the protracted transfer deal is anything to go by, then he could've been training with us for the last 2 and half months! ;)......he could be ready to go!!

Based on Poch's quotes on the website about NKoudou he is a few weeks away from being ready to feature. Didn't have a pre-season so all he has done is fitness work with us - not a lot with the team.

I think the bench may still look a bit light for this one after all.

Our best performance of last season was this fixture for me. Hopefully we get going with this game. We need a confidence builder and Kane to get off the the mark.

Hopefully we can get Kane or Janssen firing, brilliant if they can both get on the scoresheet. I genuinely don't think the way we're playing is helping the strikers and has them quite isolated at the moment but I'm excited to maybe see Nkoudou/Sissoko tomorrow!

I think it is imperative that Lamela play. He has been the catalyst for all three of our goals this season. Our pressing is far worse when he is not on the pitch. Lamela loves to play football, and he isn't a player who seemingly ever fatigues, so he is one I wouldn't be afraid to play in three matches in a week if need be, even if he just got back a few days ago from international duty.

Would like to see at least 2 out of son, wanyama, sissoko and nkoudou in the lineup. Just to see something different.

I would also not want to see Kane dropping deep. Either play him up top or put him on the bnech. No square-pegging.
