Whilst wallowing in self pity earlier I was having a look through last seasons top scorers throughout the world.

Whilst having a look I was really struggling to identify strikers I would want apart from Ade so were realistic in terms of them not being at a top club already.

Players like Lewandowski stood out but Dortmund will want at least twenty million. Obviously players like Luuk de Jong could have been worth a risk but the few times I saw him he just reminded me of Pav. Bas Dost stats obviously stand out but again he wasn't proven.

Just made me feel a bit less angry as there actually aren't that many options that would make fans happy in my opinion

That's only in Europe though, Damiao scored 20 goals in 29 games last season and signing him should please the majority of fans

I was looking at brazil and Fred who we were once linked with signed twice as many and some 33 year old was the top scorer.
