There is no way we find the money for Hazard. Key has to be getting rid of the crap, even if it means at Covid prices, or loans. Then build with youth- we won’t have the money for superstars

We can offload quite few without impacting Mourinho's match day squad as the squad is way too large as it is and the likes of Tanganga and Skipp should have bigger roles to play in the first team next season.

Doherty, Dier, Winks, Sissoko, Dele. Don't renew Bale.

Replace those 6 players with 2 'world class' quality players (a leader at CB and a goal scoring RWF - a cut price Hazard would be a dream), and we have a very competitive squad. Hazard is a big Mourinho fan and could be a draw.

GK: Lloris, Hart
RB: Tanganga, Aurier
CBs: New CB, Rodon, Alderweireld, Sanchez
LB: Reguilon, Davies
CM: Højbjerg, Ndombele, Lo Celso, Skipp,
AM: Lamela, Moura
WF: Son, Hazard, Bergwijn
CF: Kane, Vinicius, Scarlett

Hazard--------Kane----------Son

Sounds like Lloris isn’t going anywhere this summer. I can’t say I’m surprised. Buying a new keeper this summer isn’t really something we have the money (or I expect inclination) for.

Going by that kane won’t be signing a new deal then as I can’t see any chance of us signing real quality this summer if money’s so tight

More chance of Bissouma who is pretty similar style-wise. A lot of clubs looking at him too apparently. There’s just doesn’t seem like there’s any money for these kind of signings though.

The strategy is clearly gonna be to sell as much of the stiffs and maybe a premium player like Dele and sign more Hojbjergs in the last year of their deal like Sabitzer.

I agree re. Ndidi. I can´t even begin to imagine the fee Leicester would demand, and that´s if he´d want to join at all. Hoping against hope here.
Good shout re. Bissouma, and should Brighton go down, let´s add Maupay as Kane understudy too if Vinicius can´t/won´t be done.

Not really sure about Sabitzer. I´m from Austria and follow him loosely but nothing about him really strikes me as worth pursuing. More one for depth maybe, I don´t see whom he´d replace in our starting eleven

Another thing is we wouldn't be signing the Hazard that left the premier league, and age isn't on his side. Not that I would say no, but its not worth the huge amount of effort it would take to make it happen.

More important than anything is getting rid of the deadwood. From there we can worry about recruitment.
Like, Lloris has stated that there are problems in the squad with lack of professionalism, people coasting and just picking up their wages, and people think signing Hazard would be a good idea, a player who can’t control his weight and seems to have lost hunger for the game and replaced it with hunger for pastries.

100% agreed, and that's not our most pressing need in our squad at the moment. The amount it would take to get him could probably cover CB, CM and have a small amount of change for a pie and coke.

If Jose is going to be given the task of rebuilding the squad then short term signings like Hazard are not the way forward. We need to jettison the old guard and get in some good youngsters who have a high ceiling and mould them into a team. This club/team needs a big injection of enthusiasm and energy. We had success in the past when we targeted those kind of players, please no more Docherty-can do a job- incomings.

And that would be easily the worst transfer we could make
I would have been up for buying Hazard from Chelsea (not that they would sell to us) just to stop him from playing out of his skin against us. But now he's abroad and struggling for fitness and form, whilst not getting any younger, he shouldn't be high on our target list.

Reckon a part exchange for Winks and Sissoko might get their peckers up?

Strange what a couple of weeks does, I can actually see a plan in place for the summer which whilst difficult is achievable if Levy backs the manager.

Normally that last line would leave me feeling doubtful, but I just have a sneaky feeling that Levy is going to back Jose , especially with the talk of Kane being behind Jose.

Hazard would make zero sense seeing as he is now constantly injured and is at his best playing from the left, exactly the same position as Son.

We need a left footed right wing forward, like Neto.
