I wish people wouldn’t suggest that players with Premier League experience are less risky than players without, when talking about players like White.

Our recent signings from Premier League teams:

Hojbjerg, Hart, Doherty, Llorente, Wanyama, Davies, Vorm.

Not great overall.

They’re all around £10m signings, not world beaters

Doherty aside, I think everyone of them gave us just what we expected them to though.

Davies was really highly rated, Vorm was meant to be one of the best backups in the league, we expected more than two league goals from Llorente, Hart was meant to be a leader and decent goalkeeper. Only the two midfielders met expectations.

Well, if reports that Gattuso ( who is a client of Mendes ) is to be our new manager, I can expect we will be linked to a several of Mendes's clients.

With the exception of Neto & Neves, it's a pretty underwhelming list of realistic transfers.

André Silva to replace Harry Kane, and Ruben Neves as one of Gattusso's two holding midfielders together with Højbjerg. Just hope he don't send us any more of his trash.

Vinicius and Doherty on that list...

If Kane leaves — no question.

He’s our only hope.

If? If? Honestly, what do you think the others in the England squad are saying to him? Most of them now play for better teams than he does, he's outside the CL, he's getting sh*t for his form.

It is a cast iron certainty that he goes. And now he'll be so disillusioned by the direction of the club, he'll be more desperate to leave - that could impact value.

I'm just beside myself. Since the Champs League final, this has been one, protracted nightmare

You gotta respect how Leicester are backing the manager.

They're not messing around and they're showing far more ambition than us.

And they don't do it by spending obscene amounts of money. Just very clever.
We were once renown for this.

Vertonghen
Eriksen
Dembele
Lloris
Huddlestone
Modric
Dawson
Walker
Dele
etc etc

Not spending silly amounts, just spending wisely. Of course, we've not always got them all right but it'd often work out cause there was always a few gems.

Leicester seem to have taken that mantle now. They would have got Grealish before Maddison if things had worked out (I know one of the scouts who was close to Walsh and they wanted him).
