Desperate times seek desperate measures.

The way I see it is we're missing a leader, someone with experience, someones who's gonna get stuck in and someone who's gonna tell everyone in the dressing room when they're playing like a bunch of mugs.

He may be 35 but until January we can't bring anyone in for a fee so why not bring him in, can't do any harm surely?

Good shout I think, Nick.

I thought he faded very badly towards the end of his first season, but didn't he sort of become rejuvenated at Ajax?

We really do need someone just to come in to games and kicks someone to make a mark on the game.

You're right about the type of player we need to come in, i was kind of hoping Ramos had someone like this lined up for us in the summer.

Even the players we were being linked with (and there were many) didn't seem to fit this bill very well.

I just don't think Davids is the right man, but i'd still be happy to see him back at the lane. In fact i think as a team we started going down hill ever since he left us.

Long term he is not the answer I agree, but if we wait til January to bring a leader in, it might be too late!

Pay-as-play deal until then could be a solution short term.
