Changing the team you support is never ok unless you're a kid really. Even if you only have a passing interest in the game you can't swap your team around... you just have to accept you don't have a team and are merely interested in the sport.

I've been Spurs since 7, but do keep an eye on my Grandad's hometown team of S****horpe... used to go to alot of games with him from childhood to adulthood. Very much miss him and those times.

Edit: LOL, fooking auto-censor has bleeped out Scunny!! Outrageous!!

I think everyone has a second team, Christ, Darren Gough's got about forty!
I was born in Watford and although my dad supported Wolves I followed my uncle's lead in Spurs so when I was younger it was always a case of supporting whoever was doing better!

My cousins (in their 20s) and uncle (Mancunian) recently declared they had switched from supporting Manchester United (as they always have done) to Arsenal. They go to games and everything. Perplexing.

did they get bored of winning things?

I feel as though I have switched teams. I have gone from watching teams featuring Ramon Vega and Jason Dozzel to watching a team with Pauliho, Modrich, Lamela etc etc

My 2nd team is Millwall, purely because my mum and grandad support them and are from there originally. I'm a spurs fan because my dad brought me up to be one. My dad was always going to have the stronger influence in who I support as he is much, much more into football than my mum. So glad it was my dad who supported Tottenham and not the other way round!

I could never ever switch sides myself. It's completely unnatural.

I 'support' Brighton (local team) and Norwich (lived there at university) but only when it doesn't affect Spurs. When it does I literally couldn't care less about them, and even when Spurs aren't involved I don't really care that much.

In 1981 I started supporting Manchester City. 15 minutes later I was supporting the Spurs and have never looked back! (FA cup final 1981)

You dont know that! If you had gone with your Mum and Grandad you would be saying "So glad it was my mum who supported Millwall and not the other way round"! :)

When I grew up SO many of my friends were man utd fans, it was ridiclous how many there were about and when I was 8/9, being constantly teased at school because my team wasn't as good as theirs, I almost contemplated a 'if you can't beat em, join em' attitude and considered switching to man utd just so was no longer picked on by people at school, but then I saw sense and stuck with Tottenham and decided to not let them beat me. And boy am I fucking glad I did!

It's only ever been Spurs for me - for as long as I can remember.

Never, ever been tempted to switch to someone else for "glory"

The misery of being a Spurs fan has kinda suited my general demeanour forever and ever.

All this shit of getting in the Champions League and the top 4 kinda ruins it and has delivered something resembling hope for the future for me - which I'm not entirely sure how to deal with.

Converted my 9 year old cousin from Man Utd to Tottenham

It'll be nice to have a fellow Spurs fan in the family

I suppose my second team would be Arsenal. They're such a lovable bunch it's hard not to like them.

Tottenham first, flirted with United in about 92 when they won the league as my Dad is a fan but still supported Spurs even then. I don't really know how it happened. I 'follow' Northampton Town's results too, but I couldn't name the team.

If you've switched your team, you havn't really had one in the first place IMO!!!!

(unless you're a kid lol)

I've only ever supported one Club and that won't ever change!! Really don't get these people who swap teams. But the ones that do are bound to be more casual fans.

Hell, I couldn't even have a second team either.

One Club, and one Club only for me.
