I had a thing for Ajax as a kid, who didn't admire the way they played! What a team, then half of that team ended up at Milan as the Italian football revolution started and I followed them as well. I think they way the Dutch played the game had an impact on me as this is why I fell for spurs so hard with likes of ardiles, hoddle, waddle, gazza etc.

We have tried to play the game the way it should be played even if not always successfully.

Never switched but always had a soft spot for the East Anglian teams, particularly Norwich. My folks still live there and Carrow Road was the first top flight ground I went to, to watch Spurs away, of course.

I was a Man Utd fan until I was about 8, when I was suddenly struck by how much of a glory-hunting little bastard I truly was (I had never been to Manchester, never seen them play live, and had no family links to the club). My older brother was a Spurs fan and one of our relatives assumed that I was too and gave me a giant colouring-picture of Darren Anderton and some colouring pens. As I sat there slowly colouring in Darren Anderton's face a particularly egregious shade of Fanta orange I had a sudden epiphany. My destiny lay with Spurs.

I haven't looked back since.

(Oh, and I vaguely follow Ross County, Aberystwyth Town and Sheffield Wednesday)

Til about 7 I used to play all my football in QPR kits and going to loftus road was my first game. This was around 95. Then my dad finally started buying me Tottenham kits and I was encapsulated by the skills of Jose Dominguez. I remember players like Paolo Tramezzani, Andy sinton, ruel fox, Clive Wilson, Nicola berti and Stuart nethercott well

Erm is this legal now? Where I come from you got beaten bad for switching teams and mocked for the rest of your school life

Safe to say I was always Spurs tho I used to follow Ruislip Manor and Harrow Borough in the lower leagues just to go and watch some football from time to time. Having said that, 'football' is probably pushing it

My mate is still living down switching from supporting Villa to Spurs - because his new girlfriend supported them. They split up and now he's Spurs. All's well that ends well I guess, but it was merciless for about a decade

I have always been a Spurs fan.

I do however follow the fortunes of Celtic and like to keep an eye on the results my home town team Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Its hard to admit, especially recently, that my second team are Real Madrid. From a young age I used to get confused watching Spurs and Real (because of the kits) so whenever they were on I'd cheer them on. The recent developments have left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth with the whole Bale and Modric transfers and with Mourinho being the coach but at least I still have the luxury of supporting Bale and Modric to a certain extent.

When we played them in the CL I was cheering on Spurs. Still number 1 for me.

Never been anything but Spurs.

Celtic & Barca (though Bayern are growing on me) and I follow the fortunes of whatever local football league team I happen to be living near or have lived near at one time.

My mate's mate used to support Man U and switched to City when the oil money came in. He was in his late twenties at the time. I've not been able to take anything he says seriously since.

First teams I ever followed were Liverpool and Celtic; Liverpool were the most successful team and I liked Celtic's kit.

Where i'm from there are no good class local teams so it was pick your own really.
Got to about 7/8 and was so bored of all my friends supporting Liverpool so I wanted a new team.
I asked my mum and she said as kids her brother and sister had followed teams with unusual names.
Her brother was Plymouth Argyle, her sister Crewe Alexandra and she was Tottenham Hotspur.
So following the casual link and family heritage I went with Tottenham.

I've always disliked Man Utd more than any other team; had a few good mates who supported them and they were always the most arrogant fans even when they were shit. My 'liking' for Liverpool went full circle by 2012. Having liked Dalglish's teams of the 80s, his 2011/12 model were so utterly loathsome, I actually disliked them more than Utd that season, some feat.

Variously due to locality, family links or general interest in football i've followed the results of Plymouth Argyle, Exeter City, Hereford Utd, Inter Milan and I used to drift between Madrid and Barcelona based on the players they had & if I liked them. Right now I feel little love for either, Madrid, obviously and Barcelona mainly for arrogance and entitlement.

I've always primarily been a football fan who supported Spurs & ironically at an age where I should have evolved through it, I'm now more interested in & involved with Spurs than ever before.

I don't even dislike Arsenal particularly. *ducks & runs for cover* Graham's teams were easy to dislike but for large parts of Wenger's era they have been good to watch, which is a bonus in my book; plenty of teams aren't.

Right now Chelsea, Liverpool and Utd can fuck off, i'll be content if Arsenal underachieve and I don't mind what Man City do; they lived for years being terrible and their current vitality is quite entertaining.
