The kid impressed me today. I know it was only a cameo, and he was only on for a few minutes but the way he pissed passed Sagna was something you don't see very often. I know the arguments, I know he's a bit raw, but I actually thought he took all the right options today and even tracked back (Ramos's influence ??).

I really hope we don't let this kid disapear again. He needs to on the bench at least, I'd rather have him there than another one of our incomplete strikers.

Having someone like him gives you another dimension that is a very rare thing.

Didn't look like he had been missing first team action for half a season .

Made me think of what Malbranque would be like with longer legs and more pace . Like to see whether he can track back like Steed when required .

BTW good to see Super Simon Davies getting back to his best .

The 2 successful nutmegs in 2 minutes was pretty funny.

He was excellent for his few minutes. I noticed that the Arsenal crowd (who weren't exactly making much noise in the first place) went pretty much silent whenever he picked the ball up, after his first touch. When he first got it, he skipped round a player, but had to check back to avoid a dead-end. This earned a jeer from the highly intelligent Goon filth. However after this, every time he got the ball he either nutmegged a Goon or went flying past one - shutting the fans right up.

It was lovely to hear them shit themselves every time he got on the ball.

The same happened with Berba, every time he miscontrolled the ball they tried jeering, but it was purely because they were shitting themselves and patently knew he was better than anyone they had in their side. Berba regularly silenced them with deft touches and passes, and really shocked them with his goal-from-impossible-angle bit.

nutmegging fabregas was class as he is no chump. taarabt has that ability to instantly embarrass a player as if he was playing in the park

I did see him track back in the last game under Jol's reign too.
Jol wasn't some chump who couldn't see talent or was not capable of getting the best out of players.

There has been an avalanche of negativity on this board against Trabi .

We've had loads of 'wise old heads' telling us he shouldn't be allowed near the 1st team for a coupla seasons yet .

Luckily we've got Ramos on the case . If he says Trabi's ready then Trabi's ready .

at the moment he is a great asset to come off the bench, can play either wing and just oozes natural ability.
lennon could do with some competition

On yestardays showing he should start ahead of Lennon, lennon has seriously gone off the boil and is not the player we so hoped he'd be.

Agree, Lennon is a 5ft luxury, good against Citeh, but when faced with the class of Clichy, he disappoints. Give Taarabt a start in place of Lennon for the next couple of games.

I totally agree! I can't remember lennon nutmegging anyone, his pace is fantastic but he doesn't have the trickery to go with it.

Ahhh Lennon, our 4th midfield enigma - alongside Zokora, Jenas and Malbranque.

Ramos will mix it up for sure, if he thinks Lennon needs to be dropped he'll do it. Good to see the emergence of The Prince, Scarlett O'Hara and Mr T, bit of competition for places wont do us any harm.

I think Lennon's passing and crossing game has improved a lot in recent weeks, he's also not skirting away from a tackle or two.

He is improving, I don't think Taarabt has enough discipline to displace Lenny.

I would be one of those who have been critical. You can only judge on what you see. In the past he has not looked ready for first team football. His cameo yesterday was encouraging, but I will need to see a lot more to erase the memory of past horror shows.

I would be inclined to be indulgent if when he is was ineffective he was a passenger, but he loves the ball too much for that. His selfishness in possession means he breaks up our attacking play and wastes everyone else's efforts.

Let's stick to cameos now, and try him as impact sub against tiring defences.

I don't think Taarabt should replace Lennon but I do think he should be given more of a chance. I quite like him on the left as he seems good at cutting inside or going the other way. He still needs to learn when to release the ball but I feel he has a rare talent that is often not appreciated in the Premiership. As for his best position for sure it is or will be attacking cm. Unfortunately not many teams play with this type of player in this country.

I hope Ramos will rotate him with Lennon and Malbranque... looks good yesterday and can be amazing subs !

he can beat players without using pace, skills needed sometimes which we lacked recently. I think he can do it at Spurs !

I actually thought he showed a little maturity yesterday. He passed when an easy ball was on and I think a few months ago he'd not have done that. I think he's starting to become a team player rather than just out on his own.

I wouldn't drop Lennon in our next two home games, yesterday he was up against a fast full back who's no mug when it comes to defending and though I don't like to say it perhaps one of the best in the premier league.
