I really don’t think that’s the case.

Shaqiri is depth and that’s all. Fekir has legitimate starter potential for them.

It’s kind of like thinking if we sign Grealish we wouldn’t sign Martial if we were able to.

Just watched Lyon v Huddersfield. NDombele looked tubby. He was joined in MF by that papa cheikh diop guy that we were linked to from Celta last year and a returning loanee. They both played better than N'Dom that I saw. Lyon are not light in the cm/dm position and are rarely light anywhere. If you made Aulas' ears ring with an offer he would listen. Our Daniel, however, was not blessed with perfect pitch. Fekir did not feature.

There are reports that Lyon want Hector Herrera, who is also a CM. Is there a chance he's being pursued as a replacement for Ndombele? I know that he signed a new contract and is going to 'stay,' but it doesn't seem like Lyon would spend a bunch of money on Porto's captain for no reason.

For some reason I hate Hector Herrera, but he is 10x the player compared to Ndombele from what I've seen. Much rather have him. Quality.
