he's clearly a great player - we just need to be able to channel his skill and if JR+GP can help him understand when to pass, when to run and when to shoot, he'll be a superb player

since ronaldo's name has been mentioned - when he first came to Manure, he was called the "Step-over Kid" owing to his ridiculous number of unnecessary tricks on the ball, but with time and proper coaching he's gone on to be fab

Perhaps we can try and pull something from Taarabt like that - and mould him into an dangerous attacking threat?

i wonder though, given the fact that this season is almost make or break for us in terms of top 4 placings, whether he will be used much.

when ronny was taraabt's age he was simply a show pony and was played sparingly..... ramos' challenge is to achieve what SAE achieved with ronny or even 50% thereof.

If players can't be played immediately or aren't going to be loaned out for first team football then they should not be bought in the first place .

bit harsh but i see your point

he's still very young and different players peak at different times.

there are lots of players who peak young and early but sometimes fade away
others who hit prominence much later

who know's which taarabt will be if either, but he certainly has potential to be really good - it's just a case for the bosses at spurs to try and judge that by monitoring his progress.

there is a point - they are cheaper and therefore if sold later they won't usually represent a loss (a la rebrov)

he's got potential. i wouldn't be surprised if we see him making about 20-25 appearences next season (including sub apps as well ofc).just from what i've seen of him he's great at beating a man, just didnt look like he could pass or shoot that well, which makes him a bit one dimensional
