Don't want Lloris rested, he's a goalie and doesn't need resting. The more time he spends on the pitch with our various defenders, especially early season, the better. Verts and Daws I'm scared of risking as an injury would be a real arse ache for Saturday. Walker could do with a rest and we have no other option then but to give Fryers a shot at LB.

Gone for a genuine midfield 3 rather than the 2 deeper lying players and a no.10. As far as I know Capoue is still injured (?) and Dembele and especially Paulinhio need resting for the weekend. Sandro is the perfect player for a lone DM, Holtby is a perfect link man in a midfield 3 and Sig was at his very best being the more attacking of a midfield 3 when at Swansea. Sig and Holbty work very hard off the ball so there's no way that midfield is a push over and between the two we have plenty of creativity and goal threat. Lamela obviously needs game time and Townsend on the left will give us some width and pace to stretch them. Defoe up front as he deserves game time although I'd love to see an on form fired up Adebayor playing in front of that midfield/attack. Would be a line up that gives enjoyable football, will most likely beat Villa and doesn't risk too many of our main men for Chelsea
Kaboul and Defoe are injured
