I'd love to see Bentancur, LoCelso and Maddison in midfield. They'd be a lot more aware of Werner for starters. No idea if Gio's fit though.
He supposedly will be but probably won’t be starting especially as Bentancur and Maddison are both lacking match sharpness. Will probably be PEH again.

We'd absolutely dominate them, they'd need to get the ball off us first.

We'd murder them with that midfield.

even the best sides don’t have 100% of the ball. Our three half fit midfielders wouldn’t have the legs to get back on the counter attack. It would be suicidal.

Why?. They have only just resumed their partnership. One of the best in the division.
Dragon only just arrived, will get his chance.

when?

it won't get any easier to bring him in the longer you leave it. people will just reel off the old excuse of the games being too important to make changes. or do we just wait until one of romero or vdv get crocked? we want three starting-level cbs, not two and a backup, otherwise he'll just end of being our version of kiwior.

Højbjerg has to start after his performance against City.
Bentancur and Maddison or Lo Celso. Posibly a half each.
Defence picks itself.
Kulu, Richy and Werner.
Vic in goal.

Hopefully Solomon fit enough for bench which should then give us decent options with him Johnson and Skipp

People dropping Mickey because they just want to Dragusin to get a start, it doesn't work like that.

Brentford are good on the counter too. We'll need Mickey's pace.

Vicario
Porro Romero VDV Udogie
Skipp
Bentancur Madders
Kulu Richy Timo

Thought both PEH and Skippy were good v City so flip a coin for that spot, although Skipp I think is better at getting the ball forward than PEH.

Lo Celso, Sessegnon and Solomon possibly available, all our seniors won't even make the bench. Quite a change in few weeks.

Vic - Porro, Romero, vdV, Udogie - Bentancur, Lo Celso, Maddison - Werner, Richarlison, Kulusevski

Forster, Royal, Dragusin, Davies, Skipp, Höjberg, Solomon, Johnson, Gil or Scarlett

how does it work then? it's not dropping either, that would suggest taking him out for a run of games.

fans always moan about wanting a better squad but you only get a better squad by actually using it, if you're going to wait for injuries then you just end up with your starters and your backups. i'm not saying dragusin absolutely has to play now but i don't want us to be in a position where we're having to throw him in for his first game in the april run-in.

also, brentford have lost a lot of their counterattacking threat with wissa and mbuemo out.

That will get absolutely roasted by a team that plays for transitions.
not bothered about any transition - nobody is beating Mickey.

as others have said they would have to get the ball first and hoofing a long ball to the gambler is not worrying me with any combo of the 3 we have in CB

Toney versus the Dragon would be a great test for the new lad. Toney not at his best is still a handful. As physical a match up that Drag will get.

We've got a quick turn around between this and Everton on Saturday lunch time. I'd be more inclined to start him there as Everton are going to pump balls into the box regularly.
