It's a tricky one. If we can win there and get a good draw in the semis (and at home second leg) could be in the final 3rd year running

Maybe Palacios should have a rest as most seem to think. He seems to have been slighty (slightly) below par recently and we'll need him firing on all cylinders away at Everton. But we have so much depth now and no Europa so the odd knock isn't too much to worry about. One thing I will say is that Bale should feature on the left. We simply have to get him playing again

When i queued up to get my shizz signed by Crouch and Naughton in town, an official came out the shop and said Naughton wont be coming because he has just gone on loan?

I would rest Wilson, I dunno if it is all the travelling he has done this season, but he looked a little off colour the last couple of games, give him a couple of days off.

This is United away not Bolton at home. We need a fully strength team, whomever they play. As you were for Saturday notwitstanding people back from injuries, but Keane for Crouch and Jenas for Krancjar.

I agree with you Coyboy, but for me it has to be Bale (if BAE is fit) or Giovani (if Bale plays left back) on the left of midfield. Shoe horning Jenas in won't help us, it'd be better to have a left sider in there. The only reason JJ would play for me, would be if we were to rest Palacios.

There is a bigger picture here though, as Harry has said before previous CC games, he has other players in the squad that need to play otherwise they will not be sharp enough or in the right mental state to come into the side if we get injuries to the 1st XI.

If we are to achieve our primary aim of top 4, we have to use the cup games accordingly. This is the best chance we will ever get to do it, another CC final won't be anything like as significant as what we are trying to achieve in the league.

6 changes from the team that started at Villa is realistic. This line up still cost the club around £100 million!

Gomes
Hutton Dawson Bassong Bale
Bentley Jenas Palacios Giovani
Keane Pavlyuchenko

SUBS: Alnwick Corluka Naughton Huddlestone Lennon Defoe Crouch

INJURED: King Woodgate Modric Cudicini
CUP TIED: Kranjcar
RESTED: Assou-Ekotto
Yer like that team - plus I thought Benny was off to get an op and would be out for 2 weeks? Also I agree with a previous post, CC is not quite as important this year as we now have bigger fish to fry! So we will need to rest a few, big games coming up V Everton and City remember!

But GDS has started every other CC game he's been available for.

I would rest Palacios aswell for this one. He hasn't been his best for a few games now. I'm not sure the World Cup has done him any favours.

I couldn't care less, but any less then 10-1 and redknapp needs to get the sack!
