Hugo Lloris has been ruled out of Sunday’s trip to Liverpool.

The goalkeeper and captain was forced off at half-time during Sunday’s defeat at Newcastle United with a muscle problem and subsequently missed out on Thursday evening’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United, with Fraser Forster again deputising between the sticks and Brandon Austin on the bench.

Rodrigo Bentancur (knee), Yves Bissouma (ankle), Emerson Royal (knee) and Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) remain sidelined.

Sad to say it but I’m not bothered that Hugo is ruled out. Fraser looked good before Hugo returned and also looked better than him yesterday- I’m glad we have our form keeper playing

He bottled it against newcastle , hence he never came out for the second half .
Forster should never had been dropped in the first place .

I hate to say it but I'm actually happy that he's out as I feel so much more comfortable with Forster

Hugo has been one of my all-time favourite players since the 1970s. An absolute star and legend who is up there with Pat Jennings and Ray Clemence as our best keepers in the last half a century.

There's no doubt he's on the rapid decline, and now Forster is the number 1.

Let's remember all the good times, though, and wish.Hugo the very best when he probably returns to France 🇫🇷 next season

Love ❤️ you Hugo.

I agree 100%. I love Hugo and he's one of my all-time favorite players. Maybe I'm getting more cynical in my old age, but I do wonder whether the 'injury' is a bit of a smoke screen to protect him from the aftermath of THAT game. Either way, I'd be gutted if our last memory of Hugo in a Spurs shirt is 21 minutes of football that I've never seen before, nor wish to experience again. I don't know how to do those emoji things so, HEART emoji.

We're much calmer with Forster and that was obvious before when Hugo was out. Stick with Forster this time please.

I just hope he gets one more home game. No matter what his form is now, or has been for a couple of years, anyone who has given 11 years of their career to us - through times when he might have had a choice of almost any club in Europe - deserves the most generous send off.

Depends what the circumstances are.

Yeah, it's tricky. If the circumstances are that we can clinch a vital spot I'd not risk it, but I definitely want to give him a last chance for a proper send off. His shortcomings aside, he's been a great servant of the club and our captain.

Or perhaps he was injured like we've been told.

He didn't bottle anything, and like the rest of the team he was shit that day.

Like I say, it's a hope. Hopeful the conditions are right for him to get on the pitch. He's fit, and either the game doesn't matter, or the game is safe/over.
